Great food and great service. Had the Mediterranean Skillet. Basically a steak skillet but the flavor of the steak and quanity was excellent. I sat at the counter and had great conversation with the man at the register. If Georges was a bar, it would make you feel like you were at the Cheers bar

Lovely spot. Expensive but for decently sized portions. This was the big man breakfast special. Huge fluffy pancakes, four sausages and three eggs. So two orders of this, two cups of coffee. Around $37 bucks. I love diners. This is a breakfast spot to not miss!

This diner has so much to offer with an extensive menu, diverse fresh food and quick service.. This year upgrading his menu with gluten-free options serving organic dark roast coffee with options for the lactose intolerant carrying oat milk... But one of my pet peeves at a lot of breakfast places is frozen hash browns. I can't stand it. Georgei s serving up quality, with a hard labor real hash browns.. 40 years in business and you can tell.. between the quality of the food and efficiency of the restaurant. And let me tell you how fast that kitchen is. I've never been at a place where you sit. Your order is taken and for the most part in less than 5 minutes your food is out.... I highly recommend this place. Although open 7:00 to 3:00. He has lunch options. The best soups. I've had split peas on Wednesday Navy Bean on Thursday. Beef barley cream of chicken Thursdays and Sundays and if you are a soup connoisseur you can order soup at 7:00 in the morning. That's my type of restaurant.. I truly love this place

My favorite place to grab breakfast with friends in Oak Park! The staff super friendly! Raffy takes the best care of us ❤️ The other day I told her I'm on a high protein diet and she hooked me up with a protein stacked meal complete with sautéed spinach & sweetly arranged fruits on the side 🥰 It was delicious!! I always leave with a happy belly! Thank you!!

Delicious food and kind, quick service. Not much to ask for in a place to eat! Our waters and coffees were always topped off, and we were checked on the perfect number of times. We heard great reviews from friends, and we have no choice but to strongly agree. We will definitely be back at some point.

George's Family Restaurant is the perfect place for breakfast or lunch. Truly one of the last real diner's in Oak Park. Amazing cooks, attentive staff and friendly greetings at the door. Menu is filled with breakfast favorites from simple toast and eggs to fruit based crepes. It's easy to pass over mainstays like waffles, corned beef hash and my favorite; 3 eggs, French toast and sausage. Kids will love the generous whipped cream and smiley pancakes. Adults will enjoy endless cups of coffee and hustling waitstaff. Saturday and Sunday's are busy so get there before 10 am to avoid the crowd. Weekend brunch, weekday lunch or just need to do work is no problem at George's Family Restaurant.
