“Bronzeville Winery is a gem.”

Bronzeville Winery is a gem! The vibe is warm, modern, and welcoming, and the food absolutely is good. I was especially happy to see thoughtful vegan options on the menu—big win for inclusivity. Jasmine took such great care of us—attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel effortless. The only hiccup was the fries coming out a bit cold, but honestly, everything else was so good that it barely mattered. Between the atmosphere, service, and menu, this is definitely a spot worth coming back to.

We left the C/O 2005 Whitney Young reunion social and headed right over after seeing the images on Google reviews From the entrance to the bar to the beautiful atmosphere along with the majestic music…an experience was had and well enjoyed! This is my first time in Chicago and I must say- Summertime Chi is a vibe and Bronzeville Winery ought be on everyone’s list of places to go! Shoutout to Fawn Weaver for ensuring we could all enjoy the SMOOTHEST whiskey!

Stopped by for happy hour and enjoyed our drinks and some food! Loved the DJ and overall vibe of this place - the food on their happy hour menu was good, many of their full menu items sounded a bit more interesting so it would be great to come back. We tried a hibiscus margarita and it was nice as well. It looks like they have a great wine selection! And their machines for pouring wine were cool looking as well.

Bronzeville Winery is AMAZING. I left thinking “this is one of the best meals I’ve had in Chicago,” but quickly corrected that to ever, anywhere. The presentation was beautiful, the flavors were creative and comforting all at once. Just absolutely incredible meal. As a large group we ordered the Brussel sprouts, grits, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, tagliatelle, chicken (I didn’t try that but our guests seemed to like it), mushroom flatbread, and a cheese board. Every single thing was perfect. We also tried three desserts, and the apple dumpling and ube cheesecake were standouts. Unreal! The wine was also incredible, and our server, Bee let us sample some before committing to the bottle. It was exactly what we were looking for. Bee, in general, offered top service. She was professional and friendly, always checking in on us and making us feel right at home. Her recommendations were so appreciated; she knew the menu in and out and answered all our questions. 10000/10 experience thanks to Bee! I also want to mention we had 4 small kids with us, and though they’re pretty well behaved, they’re kids! I was a bit worried at first when we walked in because the space is modern, cool, elegant, and immaculate. Would we be irritating everyone around us? But everyone was so kind and happy to have us there. Seriously one of my best dining experiences, and I’ve been to so many Michelin starred restaurants around the world. I’d put Bronzeville Winery at the top of my list any day.

“Everything was on point.”

Everything was on point. Seated right away the food didn’t take long at all. Service was exceptional and the staff was constantly trying to make sure we were comfortable. The DJ was doing his thing. Food and wine slapped. One of the best dining experiences I ever had and if you are a food person visiting Chicago this has to be on your list.

I had a great time! Rich was an amazing and attentive server. He made sure we were taken care of and provided great entertainment throughout our time there. He introduced us to the manager, Mickey as well who was great. Love the ambience and Black culture of Bronzeville Winery.

Bronzeville Winery is an absolute gem! Our server, B, was one of the best I’ve ever had—she was incredibly attentive, gave fantastic recommendations, and had the perfect attitude to make our date night extra special. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you’re an Old Fashioned fan, don’t miss their version—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had! This is a must-try restaurant, and I can’t recommend it enough. Go check it out—you won’t be disappointed!

Bronzeville Winery exceeded my expectations on my first visit. Their menu is highly appealing, starting with a variety of salads and appetizers that truly deliver. I tried the Mac and cheese appetizer, which featured delicious noodles and an array of cheeses. For my main course, I enjoyed a mushroom pasta topped with salmon—absolute perfection. I capped off my meal with a lemon drop made with tequila instead of vodka, which provided a delightful finish. Our server, Cierra, was outstanding. She was well-informed about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, including the mushroom pasta, which was a real treat. She was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The environment is sophisticated, chic, and modern, making it a great spot for a celebratory dinner. The only downside was the loud music, which made conversation difficult. Despite this, I would rate this restaurant a perfect 10/10.

“2nd time around our experience was wonderful.”

2nd time around our experience was wonderful! The staff was very welcoming and warm. The food was delicious-the sweet potato hummus was by far the best dish we had, it's a must-try. The Brussel sprouts were good as well, nice taste and crunch to them. We also ordered the Scottish Salmon w/ spinach and mushrooms and Wild Mushroom Papperdelle and loved them both. It was really convenient we were able to swap out/add veggies to our liking. I didn't think we'd be back after our first visit (ish happens) but i'm glad they invited us to return and we did, they really took care of us. Will be back!

“First time here - will definitely be back.”

First time here - will definitely be back. Great food, great service & great atmosphere provided by the DJ dropping vinyl gems. I had tastes of the veggie burger, the shrimp and grits, the French toast, the avocado toast and the fried chicken & waffles. All stellar. They even helped me with a car issue that had nothing to do with them. Great people!
