Al’s Grill is the kind of spot that reminds me of the midwest middle of nowhere breakfast spot. The food hits the mark hearty, flavorful, and served hot. I had the Al's Skillet breakfast, crispy potatoes, meaty , fresh veggies, and perfectly cooked sunnyside up eggs on top. It’s the kind of breakfast that sets the tone for a great day. My coffee was just right. But what really made the experience stand out was the service. Kathy, my waitress, was incredibly attentive checking in several times to make sure everything was good and that I felt taken care of. Her kindness and professionalism added a personal touch that made the whole visit feel like home. If you’re in Oak Park and craving a solid meal with genuine hospitality, Al’s Grill is the place for really good breakfast.

Great food for a good price. Huge portions, everything was cooked perfectly, and our server was fantastic! Was visiting Chicago for the weekend and I was so happy with my first time here my boyfriend and I came back a second time! If I was a local this would be my go-to breakfast spot.

I was in town on business and my girlfriend recommended this place. I am so glad that I took her advice. The banana bliss French toast was so divine. I got a two egg breakfast as well which was delicious with the best bacon I have had in a while. I will definitely be back to this place on my next visit.

“I went to visit my dad at the assisted living building across the street & planned on treating him...”
I went to visit my dad at the assisted living building across the street & planned on treating him to lunch but he’d already eaten. Nothing wrong with treating myself tho 🙂 I sat by myself outside & mostly stayed off my phone. It was a nice day out, sunny but with a breeze going. I ordered a Diet Coke with the patty melt deluxe. The food was tasty, the service was prompt & friendly, & the price was decent.

Al's was delicious. We parked in the back, they have 4 spaces available. There was an outdoor eating area with a covered tent but we chose an indoor booth because the weather was cool. My dad and two boys joined me. We ordered the same meal, the two eggs breakfast, specialized to our liking. It came with grits or hash browns & toast or pancakes. The food was delicious and came out of the kitchen quickly! I almost finished it all in one sitting. Our server and many other servers were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant.

The food is so delicious. My friend has breakfast and I had lunch (Liver and onions, and yes I know it’s an acquired taste). The liver was tender and full of flavor. Great portions for your pocketbook.

My wife said let's try some place and suggested Al's and what a great pick. The atmosphere is very homey and the food is delicious. The staff is very attentive and they really know all of their customers names. A wonderful place for a great breakfast.
