“been coming since it was veneno. spicy, the mussels are my favorite. they offer free ice buckets if you byob”

“Very Good food, as someone who travels a lot for work all over the country this place has one of the best if not the best pulpo and ceviche dishes I've ever had. The staff were kind and quick. If I come to chicago again this is definitely has to be one of my go to stops. Place was nice and clean, music was not too loud. what else? I can only say good things about this place.”

“This place was SO GOOD. We went for a small family dinner and everyone loved their meals. I normally don’t love fried shrimp but the fried shrimp dinner my dad had was absolutely incredible. We all ended up sharing each other's plates. My sister got fajitas and I had grilled shrimp with the house sauce on the side, and I swear we were dipping everything in it. The waitress was just as kind and thoughtful as could be and made great recommendations. We didn’t BYOB but their na drinks and frescas were really nice. Most of the other tables brought beer, tequila, etc.”

“We helped a friend pick up a takeout order from Alegrias Seafood for her party, and it was our first time there. The party tray was tasty and enjoyable overall. It was a little saltier than our preference, but still good. What really stood out to me was the fried whole fish dish I saw while we were there. It looked so good that it made me want to come back another time to dine in and try it fresh.”

“This is an authentic Nayarit seafood place with some of the best family style platters in the city! You never leave hungry and Allegrias never disappoints!”

“Riquísimo y me faltó la foto de los riquísimos ostiones en su concha, los recomiendo para comer en el restaurante o para llevar a la casa o un evento, muy limpio y seguro el restaurante, sigan así siempre dando lo mejor de ustedes al personal de trabajo”

“Restaurante Marisqueria mexicano. Comida del Nayarit. Servicio por parte del personal excelente. Comida abundante. Precios adecuados. Local no muy amplio, dispone de terraza exterior. Aparcamiento exterior bien.”

“Algerias is such a vibrant seafood spot! We started with a refreshing complimentary ceviche before diving into two massive platters - the Charola Mixta with shrimp, crab, and mussels, and a shrimp & octopus combo. The shrimps leaned on the smaller side, but the sauce was so rich and flavorful, and the crab was surprisingly great too. The garlicky shrimp and octopus platter was an instant standout with bold and deeply satisfying flavors. Overall, we loved the warm hospitality and generous portions of the place with comforting flavors.”

“We are outside and enjoyed the atmosphere to this place, great food and staff”

“Love this place! I’ve been coming several times a year for about 10 years. The sauce kinda changed over the years as far as flavor but when asked to make it extra spicy it reminds me of back in the day. Delicious!”
