Afghan House
Afghan House — Devon Avenue halal anchored by the Kabobs. The walls could tell stories. The kind of cooking that doesn't need to explain itself. "The kabobs were juicy and well-seasoned, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the naan was fresh and delicious" — Abdul M Hadi

“The food here was absolutely delicious and reminded me of my trip to Afghanistan. I enjoyed the Kabuly Palau and the mantu. The spinach was also fresh and perfectly seasoned”

“Authentic delicious afghani food. Chapli kabob was the best! I would also recommend kabuli pulao. Karahi was also good but different from traditional Pakistani karahi, which I prefer. Overall good experience and quality food.”

“I stopped here with my wife and we had some of the best rice dishes we have ever hoped for. We ordered the Uzbeki palaw with lamb, chicken tikka boti, and Afghani naan. This place is truly a hidden gem. The moment the food arrives, the fragrance of the rice with saffron, cardamom, sliced browned carrots, and raisins hits you like a dream. We started eating so quickly that we had to remind ourselves to slow down and enjoy it. The milk tea is excellent as well. The prices feel like they are from another decade, very reasonable for the quality and portions. The service was warm and kind, and they guided us to some of their best dishes. We will definitely be going back and are so glad we discovered this spot.”
