“The Pho here is not far from some of the best that I have had, the soup base is mouth watering, it is one of those soups that you can just keep drinking it even though your stomach is about to explode”
So,I waited quite a bit for my to go order. In like they forgot it.
Maybe it was an off day. Ordered 2 drinks, 1 banh mi & 1 rice dish.
Avoid!!. I'm sitting in the window eating my Pho Tai soup with very little beef.

“We tried the summer rolls and the pho, both of which I’d reccomend.”
We tried the summer rolls and the pho, both of which I’d reccomend. The drinks were on the sweeter side and the pho is good (nothing crazy) but they are both good options!

“I love stopping here after appointments at Northwestern, it’s become part of our Dr day routine.”
I love stopping here after appointments at Northwestern, it’s become part of our Dr day routine. Banh mi are great, especially the grilled pork. But I haven’t ordered one since I discovered the vermicelli bowls. The grilled pork with egg roll is my favorite. It comes with vermicelli noodles on the bottom, pickled carrots and daikon, a crisp lettuce & mint salad, crushed peanuts, fried onion, juicy grilled pork and egg roll. There is a light tangy sweet sauce that the noodles soak in. The combo of everything together - savory pork, crispy veg, pickled veg, crunchy peanut, soft noodles, the sweet sauce - it’s magical. Staff is always friendly. Drinks are pretty good; I agree with another reviewer that their milk teas are more milk forward, less tea flavor than other spots.

“Had a pineapple mango smoothie and was phenomenal to get on a hot Chicago afternoon.”
Had a pineapple mango smoothie and was phenomenal to get on a hot Chicago afternoon. The worker was friendly and patient. Menu was easy to comprehend with the different types of combinations you could get. Setting in main area along with an upstairs. Very friendly spot and location for a casual stop. Would highly recommend!

“Loved their thai nam beef pho.”
Loved their thai nam beef pho! And shrimp spring rolls! These are my go to and pretty savory broth and simple noodle soup for a rainy day. They also have second floor so it is actually pretty spacious and clean

We ordered the lemongrass chicken banh mi and a brown sugar boba tea! The banh mi was fresh and memorable with the various veggies and crispy bread. The tea was delicious but a bit too milky. I would definitely go back!

“VinTea FOOD & DRINK is a cozy little Vietnamese spot.”
VinTea FOOD & DRINK is a cozy little Vietnamese spot. I tried the grilled pork chop over rice, and the rice was neither too sticky nor too dry, just the right texture to soak up the homemade lemon fish sauce, which had a nice, traditional sweet flavor. I loved the addition of fresh cucumbers and lettuce, which were crisp and washed, a healthy touch to the meal that not a lot of restaurants offer anymore. The pork chop flavor was good, and I ended up creating my own pork chop lettuce wraps. Next time, I’d like to try the chicken for a change of texture, or the bahn mi/pho. I didn't try the boba tea because I prefer smoothie bobas, which they don’t have. The cashier was soooooo kind and soft-spoken, and she even brought me a tall cup of water without me asking. I dined at the barstool area by the window, enjoying the view of passersby, and I think many people were intrigued by the food I was scarfing down. I overheard that they also have upstairs seating. Overall, the combination of comforting food and friendly, attentive service makes this cafe a must-visit.
