Sapori Trattoria
Sapori Trattoria — the Pistachio Gelato leads at this top-tier Lincoln Park italian spot. Good energy here, especially on weekends. There's real intention behind the cocktail list. “Absolutely amazing, the patio has such a European vibe and the food was fantastic. Mine gin martini was a 10/10. I cannot wait to come back.”

“This was my first time enjoying a 5 course wine dinner at Sapori’s, although I’ve been previously for regular dinners. It was my sister’s first time dining at Sapori’s, and we both had an exceptional time. The wine pairings that accompanied each dish were thoughtfully selected and really enhanced each dish. I have always raved about Sapori’s, but now, I will definitely keep a look out for more of these private events dinners as we had such fun and an incredible dining experience!”

“With a reservation, we got a table right away for seven. Food was delicious, but it did take awhile. Drinks were great, wait staff was professionally and very attentive.”

“Excellent experience. Good food and pleasant ambiance in this Italian restaurant. The service was very good! I’d go back to try more dishes! Thank you.”

“I had a great experience at Sapori Trattoria! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. Be sure to try their drinks and get the pistachio one if you love pistachios! Those mussels were also such a hit! Dipping that bread in the reduction sauce was everything! If you're looking for a charming Italian restaurant in Lincoln Park, this one is definitely worth checking out.”

“I absolutely adored my dining experience at Sapori Trattoria! The food was outstanding and truly unique. The menu features classic dishes that feel elevated and special while still delivering incredible flavor. For example, the burrata had a subtle smoky quality and flavor combinations I’d never experienced before with burrata toast. I visited on Wine Wednesday, when bottles are half-price. A great bonus is that if you don’t finish your bottle, you can take the remainder home. The wine list offers excellent selections ranging from Chianti to Nebbiolo, and it’s hard to go wrong with any of them. The service was exceptional as well. Every recommendation from our server was spot-on, and each dish turned out to be a hit. Sapori Trattoria is now my go-to Italian restaurant, and I can’t wait to work my way through the entire menu!”

“Always love going to Sapori for great Italian food. The service is amazing along with the food. UPDATE: Haven’t been in over three years due to diminished food quality and high priced martinis. Service was still very good.”

“Daniel took such amazing care of us. Food was phenomenal but service really took it out of the park. Thank you so much!”

“Sapori Trattoria in Lincoln Park is a cozy, charming Italian spot with a small bar that really comes alive—especially on a Sunday evening. It tends to fill up quickly with a lively crowd of middle-aged professionals, which gives it a warm, bustling neighborhood feel. When it comes to food, you can’t go wrong with the carbonara or the gnocchi pesto with chicken—both dishes are standouts and absolutely worth trying. The flavors are rich, comforting, and feel authentically Italian. If you’re planning to visit on a Friday or Saturday, definitely make a reservation ahead of time, as it gets packed fast.”

“Sapori Trattoria was a fantastic experience. Loved the Life’s a Peach cocktail, super refreshing and well balanced. The Calabrian clams were flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and the burrata platter was creamy and fresh. Crispy Brussels sprouts were perfectly done and addictive. For mains, the gnocchi al Brivado had great texture, though the pesto was a bit strong for my taste. That said, the cappellacci all’aragosta (lobster ravioli) completely stole the show, absolutely amazing and worth coming back for alone. Dessert sealed the deal: rich but not overwhelming triple chocolate cake and smooth, nutty pistachio gelato. Cozy atmosphere, great food, and a solid overall experience. Would definitely return.”

“Loved the carbonara! I’ve already been back a few times and it’s always great. I also highly recommend the pistachio drink, so good. Will definitely keep coming back!”

“I’ll always rave about this place to anyone who gives me the chance. I’ve taken so many people for their first time and have not heard anything negative (14 people and counting) The portions are amazing, you really feel like for the first time the price is worth the amount they’re giving you (aside from taste of course) Whether you’re dining in, doing take out, or ordering delivery through a service- it’s always been a 10/10.”
