As someone whose entire family is from Poland, this meal meant so much to me. Growing up surrounded by homemade Polish food, I have high expectations, and this restaurant exceeded every one of them. Everything is made fresh daily, including their handmade pierogi using a family dough recipe that’s been passed down through generations. You can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite. Some of my favorites were the Chipotle Cheddar Pierogi, which offered a fun and flavorful twist on a classic, the incredible pickled herring served with potato salad, spicy ćwikła, arugula oil, and even a vodka shot for an authentic Polish experience, and the Żurek, a rich, comforting sour rye soup with smoky kielbasa, boiled egg, onions, and marjoram that tasted just like something my family would make. I also loved the Kielbasa Breakfast Burrito, filled with smoked kielbasa, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and chipotle mayo. Whether you’re Polish and looking for a taste of home or trying Polish cuisine for the first time, this restaurant is absolutely worth visiting. It brought back so many wonderful memories, and I already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Delicious food! Would highly recommend the pan fried potato pirogies with bacon and a must have are the sweet cheese pirogies with fruit compote! Although there was only one waitress she worked very hard to provide good service.

Super nice place! Zach was our server today, and he was very attentive and we shared a couple good laughs. My friend and I split the meat and potato & cheese pierogis and they were delicious. Very filling as well. I grew up in Lithuania so visiting here and tasting the food was very nostalgic. I'm definitely coming back and bringing some friends and family next time! The picture is some of the potato & cheese pierogis we managed to spare for the picture before they were devoured. Nice and crisp with onions and greens for garnish (+sour cream on the side). There were 6 on the plate for the order.

If you’re hungry, be warned because you’ll want to eat everything on the menu. The pierogis are made fresh daily, and my best friend and I walked an hour for these pierogis. We were really debating on potato pancakes, even rock paper scissored over them. She got the potato&cheese pierogis and I got the pork pierogis. Both are pretty good but I think we both preferred the potato&cheese. Lots of yummy onions for flavor. We definitely needed more yummy sour cream too. Pierogis were a little oily so they were very filling, just keep that in mind if you have a small stomach or if you’re ordering an appetizer. Zach was an absolute gem and so funny, made us die laughing a few times. Prices are pretty fair and the place is very clean. He also gave us some tin foil to put our pierogis in.

Looked forward to dinner for weeks at Pierogi Kitchen in Chicago and it did not disappoint! Great atmosphere, perfect location (five minute walk from the Danzen stop on the Blue Line), incredible food, and to make an amazing experience even more perfect was William…host/waiter/server extraordinaire! If you’re looking for hospitality and great food and amazing service all-in-one, look no further and don’t miss a chance to experience Pierogi Kitchen. Thank you, William!

My partner and I came here all the time way from Kalamazoo, MI! The food was phenomenal as expected from other reviews, but what I truly wanted to compliment on was the coordination of service. I believe our server’s name was Will (cool stretched septum, sick overalls and hat). They are beyond personable — they were so funny when I asked for recommendations. It seemed like they were solo-ing dinner rush which was intense to witness as someone who works in the service industry as well. Will’s demeanor did not falter from a customer standpoint and that type of pressure is HARD. Kudos to the staff working this snowy Saturday evening.
