The service is great, the portions are super generous, and everything tastes homemade. It’s also our go to whenever we’re hosting dinner parties—everyone loves it.

We had Middle Eastern food from Bab Alsalam catered and everything was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, well organized, and traveled very well without losing quality. Everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. The young man who helped us was extremely polite, professional, and had such a positive attitude, which made the experience even better. We were very impressed and would definitely use this catering service again and recommend it to others.

Today I strayed away from my usual shawarma spot and decided to try Bab Al Salam down the block. I was happy I took the adventure. Service was excellent and very helpful. Store was clean. The person working the register gave me the perfect suggestion. This mixed grill plate is one of the best I’ve tried. The kefta, chicken, and steak were all tender and perfectly cooked. The hummus was creamy, and tasted homemade. The little chopped salad complimented the plate perfectly with its light olive oil and dry mint seasoning. Rice was very moist and flavorful. This was an easy 9/10 plate. Now I see why they have the highest rating out of all Mediterranean spots in the area. And rightfully so. Recommend to anyone from the area or if you’re a frequent flyer from ohare.

Kefta & chicken entree - delicious! The hummus was so good, the chicken kebab had a yummy grill taste, overall I would come back and order again from here. The spicy sauce was great too.

Incredible flavors and freshness at Bab AlSalam! I stopped in and was seriously impressed — everything we ordered was on point. The baba ghanoush was smoky and creamy, the hummus was smooth and flavorful, and the falafel had the perfect crunch. The kebab was juicy and seasoned just right. Honestly, every bite felt super fresh and made with care. You can tell they put a lot of pride into their food. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors!

Hidden gem.If you’re flying through on Cumberland heading North or South.You wouldn’t notice this place unless you see the sign on the entrance way.I ordered the lambs chops entree.The meat was so tender and flavorful.And the sauce was banging! I highly recommend this joint.You won’t be disappointed.
