Tio Luis Tacos and cafe
Tio Luis Tacos and cafe — a mexican spot in Bridgeport. Solid drinks, with the bar pulling its weight. Trinidad aguilar-ruiz: "The avocado salsa was spicy enough to provide a kick, and creamy that it didn't lose the avocado texture" [patio]

“Tio Luis is still amazing. I became acquainted with this authentic Mexican staple over 20 years ago. Tio was one of the vendors for a company I previously worked for. Everytime we would order for lunch meetings, the food was extraordinary. This past Valentine's Day, I thought of them and decided to visit after so many years, and they were even better. The lamb chops special on the Valentine's menu was perfecto. My husband ordered that dish and I had the 3 steak taco dinner with a frozen peach reposado martini (Tajin rim). I'm so glad Tio is still standing, now I have to bring my dad for old times sake. Everything was delicious.”

“Had lunch here today after getting my nails done at the shop next-door. Everyone working here is lovely. The food was good and the service was fast. I will definitely come back”

“Super delish. Happy service and great decor, atmosphere and music. When it comes to authentic Mexican cuisine, I highly suggest coming here. Cocktails are also very good and they have a lot of attention to detail.”

“Awesome place awesome people good waiter named Elmo. Made it a fun night.”

“Absolutely love the food! My go-to is the taco salad, but I tried Ely's breakfast the other day. Just as delicious! I've also enjoyed the cucumber lemonade and guacamole. I love the outside seating. The service is always excellent. We will definitely keep coming back”

“The staff is friendly and quick. The waitress went over lunch specials. We ordered the ribeye tacos w/ beef soup ( only thing is my soup only had beens cilantro & onions) (NO BEEF) and our other friend tacos. 🌮 one had pineapple juice a& the other a coke. I drank water. Bill came to $50 plus tip. Establishment was clean and bright! Food was great minus missing the meat in my soup. Would go again.”

“Food is delicious. BUT, if you dislike a restaurant who fails to deliver something they promise then this review is for you. This restaurant offered , on their Facebook, Every Match of the world cup , so i went to watch a game and about half time a group of people showed up and asked to turn off the volume for the game. So i ended watching a game with NO VOLUME. I asked to fix volume and they said, “no because that group doesn’t want the volume.” I could have just watched it at home WITH VOLUME. All i wanted from this Restaurant is to respect what they offered on their fb page, but they didn’t. Didn’t request anything else. I have attached a picture of what they offered on fb but failed to delivered.”

“Crepas 0/10 Rubbery with zero flavor. Everything else in the restaurant is good besides this. A let down.”

“UPDATE The service is excellent 👍🏻 💯. But this time around, I got sick from eating a gordita de chicharron verde. ~~~~~ Good place to eat! Good is good! I ate a gordita the chicharron verde, it was very good! I also had a gordita de hongos but I didn't like that one!”

“Food here is tasty for the most part. Service requires a bit of attention, prices border eye gouging. As a vegetarian I ordered enchiladas with no meat and asked if they had an option other than cheese, the had spinach. Great! Price $25 for 4 enchiladas vegetarian style. Some rice and a bit of salad. On top of that I ordered red sauce and surprise surprise they gave me the wrong sauce. Too far and too hungry to go back. 🤬”
