“These have to be the best quality tacos from morning to late night, you can not go wrong coming to this taco spot.”
These have to be the best quality tacos from morning to late night, you can not go wrong coming to this taco spot! The quality of the meat is top tier. It's soft, great flavor and authentic. I got the asada tacos and my friend got al pastor. The tortas are just as great. But the drinks, horchata is amazing. The milkshakes are a must and the fresh squeezed juice is incredible. Definitely go check this spot out when you're in town!

“I’ve been coming here since I was a kid.”
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. This Little Village gem serves up the best torta de lengua in the whole country — no question. Always fresh, always fire. Mouthwatering every single time. Straight-up addicting in the best way.

“I’ve been coming here since the early 2000s when my dad used to bring our family as kids.”
I’ve been coming here since the early 2000s when my dad used to bring our family as kids. Now, as an adult, it’s such a great feeling to eat here— it’s like stepping back in time. While a few changes have been made over the years, nothing major has changed the experience. They seat you immediately, and instead of menus, you just look at the wall to see the food and drink options — it’s simple and easy to pick. They bring out a huge bowl of pickled carrots and chiles, which I absolutely love. I highly recommend trying the tacos de lengua and al pastor. The agua de horchata is also delicious and their salsa is SPICY! My only cons is its a little pricey — we ordered 6 tacos and 3 drinks, and our total came out to about $50, not including tip. Also, it gets PACKED, so if you’re not a fan of crowds, this might not be the spot for you. They accept both cash and cards, and at night they have security inside and outside the restaurant, which is reassuring given the area. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for delicious and authentic tacos!

“If you're looking for authentic tacos with a flavor that hasn’t changed in over 30 years, Atotonilco is the spot.”
If you're looking for authentic tacos with a flavor that hasn’t changed in over 30 years, Atotonilco is the spot. The service is top notch, and the original location still delivers that same incredible taste people keep coming back for. Yeah, the prices are a bit high, but trust me, bro. Quality, tradition, and consistency make it a must visit. Highly recommend!

“Friendly and courteous staff at Atotonilco and their food is delicious.”
Friendly and courteous staff at Atotonilco and their food is delicious. They have parking in front at the laundry mat. My favorite is their pickled carrots they serve and also their meat is very good quality. Tacos “atotonilco style” are so very delicious and unique to them. Their meat is also very good quality. One of the gems in the neighborhood, their other locations are the same as well. Will always be a fan of this place! They also have great shakes here too.

“Taquerías Atotonilco in Little Village offers a chill atmosphere with a touch of traditional Mexican flair.”
Taquerías Atotonilco in Little Village offers a chill atmosphere with a touch of traditional Mexican flair. From the moment you walk in, the delicious aroma of cooking food fills the air, instantly transporting you to Mexico. The music and ambient sounds of food being prepared add to the authentic vibe, making it a delightful sensory experience. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with that amazing smell of food being cooked the kind that makes your stomach start doing a happy dance. It was like being transported straight to a vibrant market in Mexico. I was craving tacos de barbacoa like a long-lost love, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. When the tacos arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. They were generously packed with tender, succulent barbacoa. I took my first bite and oh boy, it was like a party in my mouth. The meat was so tender, it felt like it was giving my taste buds a gentle hug. And that salsa! Just the right amount of kick, with a hint of lime that brought everything together in a perfect dance of flavors. I swear, my mouth was doing the salsa and merengue at the same time. I have to mention the tortillas too. They were fresh and warm, with that slight chewiness that tells you they’ve been made with love. Each bite was a reminder of why I love Mexican food so much. I’m already plotting my return to Taquerías Atotonilco to explore the rest of their menu. If you’re in Little Village and in the mood for some amazing Mexican food, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Your taste buds will thank you!

“Definitely recommend.”
Definitely recommend! Weekends are crowded, but it's worth it! Wait, it wasn't bad. People go in and eat and get out! There are restrooms, and the guys there are friendly, helpful, and very efficient! 10/10, coming back to try their tortas, which looked delicious! My kids and I loved it here

“Had al pastor, steak, and lengua..”
Had al pastor, steak, and lengua... steak and al pastor were delicious. The lengua was ok, I've had much better. Skip the lengua, get the steak and pastor. The salsa has a nice kick to it, love the zanahorias. Agua de tamarindo was nice. I really like the strawberry shake, but the tacos were so large I was massively full. Oh we also had a side of beans, they're good, but I don't think they use lard. They would be better if they did, but they're still good. Try them.
