We stopped in on a Friday for dinner and drinks with our dog. Luckily we came early because the patio filled up fast! The drinks were great, service was friendly. Food was good (nothing spectacular), but overall we loved the atmosphere and that they're dog friendly!

Love this authentic Mexican spot with an awesome patio option. Service is always great- quick and friendly! Their margs are SO good and they always have a seasonal special (peek watermelon marg pictured). We also got the queso with chorizo which was so tasty and a massive portion severed with flour tortillas and some very fresh chips and salsa. Then for mains we split the asada tacos and rice and beans which were delicious!

“Highly recommend!”

Highly recommend!! Amazing food and service!!! The atmosphere is also great!! Met some friends and sat at the bar where the Awesome Bartender Jonathan took care of us with delicious drinks and food service!! It was very busy but they were still able to serve us in a timely manner and “always” with a smile!!! The Owner Roxana Garcia is a Doll and such a hard worker and takes such pride with her beautiful place!!! I will definitely be coming back!!!

This is my 3rd or 4th time coming back here. The artwork is beautiful here. The service is always welcoming, fast and attentive. If you sit at the bar, the gentleman there is always pleasant. He’s given us free shots in several occasions, just because. If you’re unsure what to try, he brings good suggestions. The food is very flavorful. I typically always order the Sope appetizer, the chicken is JUICY, the masa of the sope makes for a perfect texture. I always opt for the enchiladas, they’re my to go to. However, I tried the Tampiquena and it tasted like I should’ve bought it sooner. Full of flavor! Try the Flan too, you won’t regret it. Great a date night, girls night, or get drinks and vibe.

This place is simply the best. Every single thing on the menu is delicious and makes it tough to choose what to eat each day (spoiler, there’s no wrong answer). The cocktails are also top notch prepared by one of the best bartenders, Jonathan. The service is excellent and your water will always be topped off without asking. The vibe is even better in the summer on their patio. 5 stars and an 11 out of 10.

The food here is amazing. Pretty authentic coming from a Mexican traditionalist. We also love the drinks and the patio is cozy and relaxing. Amor y Tequila is definitely one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Chicago.

“Great patio and service.”

Great patio and service! We went to Amor y Tequila on a Saturday, no reservation, and sat in their awesome patio. Our food and drinks came to the table pretty fast after ordering. Their margarita was pretty good and kinda strong. I recommend their al pastor burrito, chicken tinga tacos and the calabacitas tacos (vegetarian). The guac was pretty tasty also. Overall, I'd definitely be back.

excellent. Some of the best guacamole and casual, yet authentic Mexican food that exists in Chicago. The intimate atmosphere and small numbers of tables makes it feel cozy, and warm in the winter. Amazing drinks and food coming out of the kitchen every minute. Get here and get here now you will not regret it.
