I've been there several times, and the food and service have always been excellent. The lomo saltado is outstanding—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and easily one of the best dishes on the menu. For appetizers, the papa a la huancaína is definitely worth trying, and the empanadas are also a great choice to start the meal. I also highly recommend the seco de carne, which was tender, delicious, and full of authentic Peruvian flavor. The margarita on the rocks is a great drink to enjoy with your meal as well. The service is another reason I keep coming back—the staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I never feel rushed, which makes for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, D Candela is a place I highly recommend. Great food, great service, and a consistently positive experience every visit.”

“We had a great experience overall at this Peruvian restaurant. The service was excellent, and once seated, the entire vibe was amazing—from the warm lighting to the music playing in the background. I would recommend some improvement at the host stand, as we weren’t greeted properly or promptly when we arrived. It was a bit confusing at first until I noticed the sign instructing guests to wait to be seated. Once we were seated, everything turned around. Our server, Franky, was attentive, welcoming, and patient, answering all of our questions since it was our first time dining here. Now let’s talk about the food and drinks—delicious! We ordered Cusqueña Peruvian beer and a Maracuyá Margarita, both were refreshing and flavorful. For food, we had Papa a la Diabla, Tallarín Verde con Pollo a la Parrilla, the kids’ Salchipapas, and for our starter, the Ceviche de Pescado. All I can say is—we were not disappointed at all. My chicken was slightly salty for my personal taste, but my partner really enjoyed it. The meat was cooked to perfection, medium, just the way it should be. Overall, a great dining experience with excellent service and delicious food. We’ll definitely be back! (Sorry for the one picture but I didn’t have enough storage to take more pictures! lol)”
