Just went for the 3rd time 🤩 The seolleongtang and kimchi are delicious! My fave is the brisket. I love all the Korean restaurants in the area, but this one has a special place in my heart ❤️ To note: limited but free parking and cash only

The broth is rich and soothing, and the kimchi and radish banchan complement the meal nicely. Note that this place is cash only, though there is an ATM inside the restaurant.

The theme/concept of this restaurant, serving just 1 type of food, is very popular in Korea and known to do well. Han bat has been doing this for a long time, serving just seolleongtang with kimchi. Kimchi itself is also one of the best in Chicago as well. It's so simple yet amazing. I need at least 2 bowls of rice every time I come here. Just a reminder, it is a cash only place, does have ATM inside. It's worth every penny, and it is best when you need a hangover soup. They also open at 10 am, earlier than most of restaurant, which is a huge plus too.

gotta read this. First, CASH only! they have ATM inside without any fees! This is a mom/pop kinda restaurant. Their seolleongtang is one of THE best for me. I’ve tried in NY K-town, other Korean place in Chicago/NY….THIS place is THE best one. Period! Their kimchi is home made, sooo fresh so delicious! For real!! The lady spoke english enough to understand what you want, so don’t be shy. Please tip them, they deserve it!

Cash only! They only sell seolleongtang here and trust me when I say they make it well. The bone broth was incredibly rich, milky, and hearty. I love how there were salt and pepper at the table so you can adjust everything to taste. Kimchi was absolute perfection and you can tell everything was homemade. The cabbage kimchi was cut at the table, which is something I have never seen before. Both the radish and cabbage kimchi had just the right amount of crunch and acidity. Overall, simple flavors that were executed flawlessly.

I basically go there every week. It’s super comfortable to have the delicious soup in the morning to start an energetic day! Highly recommend spicy beef soup and beef tongue. Kimchi are free and also good to eat with the meat. 🤤

CASH ONLY! (ATM ON SITE) Truly a Hidden Gem 💎. If you want fresh, healthy, and delicious soup this is the place. Their whole menu is soups with same bone broth with different cuts of meat. The kimchi is out of this world delicious 🤤 Highly highly recommend this restaurant if you want authentic Korean bone broth soup. FYI you must go up to the register to order your food and the menu is on the wall by the register. Plenty of parking space front of the restaurant.
