“one of the best soondubus i’ve ever had! it’s a bit of a drive from the city, but the food is worth it. i got the seafood soondubu which was delicious. the flavor was amazing and the spice level was just right. the bonchons were also delicious, and they offer free refills. service was super attentive and friendly”

“Good food. Delicious hot, spicy soup. Good entrées and bibimbop.”

“Amazing food! Very fresh and natural, waiters are very funny and kind, definitely worth the 45 minute drive. Their beef ribs and their tofu seafood soup is on top. Best asian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Hoping they locate to a bigger restaurant their potential is high.”

“Update: they have a new menu item, grilled intestines, which is so well seasoned and flavorful that I ate like 2 extra bowls of rice with it alone. Even if you’ve never tried intestines or are hesitant, you should 100% give it a try! The kimchi dumplings alone are worth the visit but everything on the menu is amazing! The galbi tang is a new menu item - someone told me it’s the best in Chicago and they were right. Amazing staff, great atmosphere!”

“The service and the food are amazing! Highly recommend cold noodles. The atmosphere is pretty vibrant and the owner seems friendly”

“One of the best Korean food I’ve ever had for an affordable price!”

“I've been looking for a place that serves quality 냉면 (Naengmyeon) with 갈비 (Galbi) or 만두 (Mandu) near Chicago for a while now. I've been abroad to South Korea and was spoiled by the set meal at 육쌈냉면 (Yukssam Naengmyeon) in Seoul's Hongdae neighborhood, so I've been nostalgic for the same set meal since my studies in Korea. Now, I've finally found a place that satisfies the craving! The service was wonderful and everyone was so attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I'll be coming back for the 콩국수 (Kongguksu)!”

“Quán ăn rất ngon. Giá cả hợp lý . Nhân viên nhiệt tình dễ thương”

“Chodang Tofu House is an ideal stop for comforting Korean food, especially if you're flying in or out of O'Hare—it’s just 15 minutes from the airport. Their kimchi + pork Soondubu Jjigae is an absolute must-try. The tofu is luxuriously silky, the broth rich and flavorful, and the bits of pork add a perfect savory bite. I got it regular spicy and as a Latino, I’d say it was pretty mild—I’ll definitely crank it up to a 4/5 next time. There’s a wide variety of Jjigae options, so soup lovers will have no shortage of choices. We also ordered a small portion of the Galbi short ribs, which were tender, well-marinated, and packed with sweet-savory depth. It made a perfect protein pairing to the stew and was easily shareable between two people. The banchan (side dishes) were fresh, flavorful, and rounded out the meal beautifully. All in all, this spot is perfect for warming your soul with a steaming bowl of stew and some classic Korean flavors—whether it’s your first meal in Chicago or a last comforting bite before takeoff.”

“I recently visited Chodang Tofu House in Mount Prospect, and it was absolutely amazing! The food was phenomenal— I ordered the Binbinbang and the baby octopus soup, and both were bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was just as impressive, with friendly, attentive staff who made the experience even better. The cozy atmosphere added to the charm. If you’re craving authentic, delicious Korean cuisine, this spot is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back!”
