“talk about delicious… this place is up there with Cho Sun Ok, which i consider the best korean in the city. lowkey, but dangerous. the fried chicken especially. Japchae has so much flavor, and the Galbi is TOP TIER. ate most of it before i took a picture haha. putting this in my top korean recommendations in Chicago.”

“Food were so good and authentic. sweet garlic fried chicken was fantastic, new fried crispy and hot, sauce was nice. Bibimbap is perfect and hot. Spicy beef stew was good too, not too salty or spicy. Banchan (side dish) were all free and delicious. Staffs were so nice and friendly. Overall we had really good experience here”

“Ohhhh my goodness!! This place is good! They have a small menu but they have everything you need. I got the Bibimbap and it came out very quickly! It was DELICIOUS!! The beef, rice, lightly fried egg, carrots, kimchi… it all blended so well together! The owner even made sure I mixed it good! 😋 The dumplings were scrumptious! I could have had 10 plates of those! All for a great price! Free parking lot too which is a huge bonus. Try it out!!”

“Delicious Korean food! It was fast, fresh and very filling”

“AMAZING!! Everything I tried was delicious!! Such friendly hosts!! A must-try in Albany Park.”

“Omgggg the FOOD was so good and flavorful! This was REAL authentic Korean food. Everything that we go was amazing, I highly recommend coming!”

“Outstanding Korean food served in a hole in the wall place in a strip mall. What the place is lacking in charm is made up for with great food. We had the Tteok Bok Ki (spicy rice and fish cake - good), Daeji Dupbap (spicy pork with Kim Chi - excellent), fried chicken (teriyaki pretty good), bulgogi kimbap (good) all served with banchan featuring excellent Kimchi made on site. Serve slow, but that type of place it is family run. The place needs better ventilation from oil cooking smells. Very affordable, a real gem will be back again for sure.”

“I stopped by one day after being sent to a new location for work. The food was excellent! It was piping hot when it came out! The side dishes were plentiful and everything was so fresh and tasty. Service was wonderful as well. Everyone working there was very friendly. They give you the space to eat in peace without coming to the table too many times. I'm so glad I decided to stop by! Excellent food and service for a good price. Please stop by if you get a chance!”

“I will admit that Kim’s is my favorite restaurant in the city. It is Korean comfort food at its finest. It’s not elevated, and there are no modern spins. But it is truly a gem that every time leaves me indescribably happy. The spicy chicken wings are truly some of the best wings you can get in Chicago with a sauce that is indeed finger licking good. Bibimbap, pancakes, bulgogi, rice cakes, all top tier. Special consideration for the freshness and balance of acidity and sweetness in their banchan.”

“Visiting from San Diego, this was the first meal we ate when we landed (veggie kimbap, bibimbap, fried chicken). Food was so spectacular here I actually got emotional, everything was fresh and authentic and the textures and flavors were amazing! I didn’t get very good pictures because we were so excited to eat”

“Visited on two separate occasions. Both experiences were great. Authentic Korean food at very reasonable prices. Sides were great as well. Highly recommend their kimchi stew.”
