“Our go to for to-go sushi. Super fresh, inexpensive, quick. Lovely big trays. Cash only, with a low fee ATM in the store.”

“Incroyable! We called ahead to place our order. Went to pick it up and it was ready! It's cash only, zelle or venmo. The inside is small and minimal seating, I think it was like one big table. The sushi was delicious. For the price we got so much sushi. We also tried the grilled hamachi, it was fatty, buttery and grilled to perfection! We are happy customers. Definitely returning very soon!”

“Solid place for reasonable priced sushi! Worth a visit. Cash or Zelle! The sushi hits the itch and is great value for flavor and freshness”

“Classic sushi shop that is just a walk in / pickup with a few tables. Great sushi!”

“Great sushi at an amazing price. We ordered the A3 tray, and it was bomb. the rice is good quality, well cooked, and its soft and fluffy. all their ingredients taste fresh, even their wasabi is soft and fresh. their rate is nearly a dollar a sushi which is insane! i dont know how they pull it off. the service is also great, everyone behind the counter and in the kitchen is super nice and respectful, full of japanese hospitality. if i had to describe this place in one word, it would be AUTHENTIC.”

“Second time getting a platter here! Perfect every time.”

“Ummmm Google says it’s closed at 11pm… ummmm no they are open… my man behind the counter said he doesn’t know why it says that….. glad I went anyway…….’we’ alll know betta….. Lawrence closed at 11pm?? Ha!”

“I haven’t been to this place for 8 years and I’m glad I made it back. The interior has changed for better and sushi quality was top notch! I enjoyed it so much I had to order twice. Will be back and recommend to friends.”

“Simply put, an institution of Chicago. Constantly craving and they never miss. KAMIKAZE ROLL IS THE BOMB.”

“Just tried LFM for the first time! I would recommend. Great sushi rolls for an affordable price. I ordered the “A2” maki tray which is listed to feed 2-3 people. There was a good variety of fish (tasted great), texture and flavor throughout the tray. I ordered ahead on a busy night (new year’s eve) knowing it would take some time to receive my order. Though it did take some time, everyone was polite and handled the large sea of people well. I will be back to try some nigiri for sure. Also, they’re listed as “cash only”, though they did allow some patrons to pay with Venmo when the ATM malfunctioned. Totally worth it for take-out sushi.”
