“A metal detector at the front door and you have to empty your pockets just to walk in and pick up your takeout? And to add further insult to injury you want to see my ID with credit card…food was good.. but too much going on.. I won’t be back..”

“Date of Review: 06/14/2026 Time of Review: 6:42PM Location of Review: JERK VILLA Overall Review: DEFINITELY A CLUB VIBE WITH THE SECURITY AND METAL DETECTOR TO ADD TO IT. BY FAR THE BEST YERK SEASONING SAUCE IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. OXTAILS WERE DRY AND tough BUT SEASONED SERVED IN A BROWN SAUCE WITH SEPERATED OIL. CABBAGE AND RICE WITH BROWB GRAVY WAS WELL SEASONED. C The chicken was absolutely delicious, moist, and well seasoned jerk. B Returning: I we'll give the place another chance only because the music was really good. And the service was on point. I'd have to admit the only thing on the table. That wouldn't me, was the jerk sauce that was unparalleled?Compared to other jerk sauces that I had. Final words: Slow whine”

“Ordered $40 worth of food via DoorDash and the dark chicken meal was extremely DRY and overcooked, mac and cheese was soupy and not firm. Cabbage was not cooked all the way through. Very disappointed”

“Terrible! Everything was disgusting. The red snapper was EXTREMELY DRY! the oxtail was over cooked couldn’t even pull them off the bone smh . Waste of $60+ fa sho”

“My order of jerk was blend. Cabbage soggy. I don’t know if it’s because I order before 5pm on a weekday but my order is the worst I ever had. Taste like cafeteria food.”

“DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY when dark meat is DRY somebody just cant cook or cooked too much and trying to reuse or keep it warm. I DONT KNOW BUT DRY DRY DRY DRY THEN THEY GOT THE NERVE TO NOT SERVE BEANS AND RICE ANY MORE WITH YOUR DINNER IT HAS TO BE PURCHASE SEPERATE... THEY PUT MY CHKN ON TOP OF CABBAGE... I ASK THE GIRL DO I GET GRAVY ON MY CHKN SHE REPLIED YES. I DID NOT HAVE GRAVY NOR RICE NOTHING JERK VILLA WOULD DO IN THE PAST... I HATED IT ALL THE OXTAILS WERE ROUGH AS HELL... GOING THERE FOR FOOD IS BO LONGER WORTH RISKING MY LIFE.”

“The food is ok but the service is nearly one of the worst I’ve seen. I ordered over the phone 30mins before I got there, just for them to tell me there closed at 8:30pm. It say 10pm online and if you knew that why didn’t you tell me that on the phone. They told me to come back the next day that they’ll look out for me. I’m here now and two ladies were very rude and told me I waisted my time coming back and what do I expect them to do?”

“First let me say that Jerk Chicken is one of my favorite foods to eat and I can say without any hesitation, this aint it! The only thing that I enjoyed was the jerk sauce. To add insult to injury my wife and I got sick immediately after eating their food.🤢 We will never dine here again!”

“Aye the disrespect was real check my profile imma white meat order everytime yall gone hit me with the dark meat that's a sin in my book I don't do dark at all yall done lost me with this”

“This was my first time ordering from Jerk Villa, and I will not be returning. My chicken was burnt and dry, the cabbage was too thick and lacked any flavor or moisture, and the rice was overcooked and disappointing. On top of that, the customer service was terrible. I would not recommend ordering from the 79th location.””
“The owners & the staff were awesome. Food and drinks was delicious. I enjoyed the patio and the music, can't wait to return!”
