Vito & Nick's Pizzeria — honest italian in South Side. Order the Sausage. Walk in and you know immediately: this place is real. No long waits, cash only. Moises Treviño Garcia: "The pepperoni had a slight crisp, bringing a smoky, salty punch, while the sausage was rich, juicy"

“They’ve been around for over 100 years and are known as one of the best tavern style pizza...”
They’ve been around for over 100 years and are known as one of the best tavern style pizza restaurants in Chicago, and they lived up to the hype! I shared fries and a pizza with mushrooms and green peppers. The fries were crispy but slightly over-salted. The pizza crust is light yet firm which had the perfect tavern style crunch. The cheese had that slightly oily, rich flavor you want without being greasy, and there was just enough sauce. This was the best thin crust pizza I’ve had in the midwest!

I went with friends and I was blown away with the quality of food and thim crust pizza. The menu is very diversified. I totally recommend this place. Very traditional, had been open for more than one hundred years. Five stars 🌟 . Staff very friendly and that place gave me some nostalgia.

“Pizza was great, of course.”
Pizza was great, of course! Service was very good. We showed up at 7:00 and had plenty of time to enjoy our pizzas. I wish there was some music playing but they only had the pay by phone "Jukebox".

“Even tho it's been on Diners Drive-ins and Dives, it was popular way before.”
Even tho it's been on Diners Drive-ins and Dives, it was popular way before. Their cracker crust pizza is a staple everytime I visit the south side of Chicago. CASH ONLY.... They get very busy & fast.. All their food is really great, the calamari is great but the pizza is my go to. We always get 1 pizza with fresh cracked egg on it, yes it's different or odd but it's really good. Make the trip and stop in. This is three original one on Pulaski rd

“Haven’t been here in 17 years.”
Haven’t been here in 17 years. But took my mom who has never been. It was an amazing experience. Exactly what I remember and expecting. I had a PBR on draft, my mom had a Red Candy Apple Martini which was the special drink for the holiday season. We got a large sausage and green pepper pizza (well done). And the pizza was amazing!!! The crust is paper thin so we ate the whole thing! If you are looking for amazing pizza from a place that has been in Chicago for over 100 years. This is it. I just hope it doesn’t take me 17 years to make my way back. The pizza is way too good to wait that long again. P.S. This is a cash only establishment

“Excellent pizza especially if you like a thinner pizza that has a crispier dough.”
Excellent pizza especially if you like a thinner pizza that has a crispier dough. We ordered 1/2 sausage and peperoni...so tasty! My son and I came in friday evening when it snowed a lot! The place has a 1950's vive; súper clean and cozy. All of the staff were very efficient and friendly. We recommend 😇

“In Chicago for the weekend visiting from upstate NY.”
In Chicago for the weekend visiting from upstate NY. We stopped by Vito & Nick's on the way in. We had a half cheese and half pepperoni and a sausage. Super thin crust, Good char in the undercarriage with zero flop. Tomato sauce was fresh tasting and the toppings were good with a good cheese to sauce ratio. This place had been in operation for 120 years and it's easy to see why.

“Best Thin/ tavern style Pizza in Chicago!”
Best Thin/ tavern style Pizza in Chicago!! This has been a Chicago institution for decades. The best pizza ever tavern style! The dining room is pretty average but the food/pizza is amazing to say the least. I ordered a half cheese, one quarter Italian beef, one quarter in house sausage. The sausage was phenomenal my favorite out of the 3...service was great 100% recommend!

“I’ve been wanting to try Vito and Nick’s pizza for a while now.”
I’ve been wanting to try Vito and Nick’s pizza for a while now. On a recent trip to Chicago, I finally got the chance. The restaurant had a classic old school feel, it felt like walking into a bar from a 90s sitcom! Service was great, pizza was ready on time. The toppings were all very fresh and tasted amazing, very high quality, as was the cheese. The cheese and toppings were both a generous amount. The sauce was excellent, very nicely seasoned and a good amount. The thin crust was cooked perfectly. The pizza had a nice smoky taste to it. Overall an amazing tavern style pizza from a historic icon. If you are in the area or even from away and you get the chance, try out Vito and Nick’s. It’s not every day you get to try pizza from a place that’s been around over 100 years, I’m glad i got to experience it.
