Prosecco — straightforward italian in River North. Contemporary look with thoughtful details. Solid drinks, with the bar pulling its weight. "Fresh, perfectly cooked, loaded with flavor… honestly one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had anywhere" — Alison Hawks

“They also have happy hour from 5pm - 6:15pm so if you get there early enough, there is a lovely assortment of cocktails, appetizers, and main menu items for almost half the price”
Very disappointed with our dining experience at Prosecco, which is unfortunate because we truly wanted to love it.
Horrible place, Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience.
What an awful experience.

“In all honesty, the best thing I tried was the veal, but I don’t get a picture because I ate it so quickly.”
In all honesty, the best thing I tried was the veal, but I don’t get a picture because I ate it so quickly. The meatball app was great and so was the chocolate cake. However, the best aspect, in my opinion, was getting the round table in the back. I felt like a king.

If you want good service, this is still a restaurant that still has a good wait staff. We have had several great, memorable group occasions here and it is recommended for larger groups with reservations

“The octopus was paired with a creamy squid ink aioli, so if you love mollusks, load up on this dish.”
The octopus was paired with a creamy squid ink aioli, so if you love mollusks, load up on this dish. The Caesar salad was fresh, and had shaved parmigiana-reggiano and a white anchovy giving that intently savory salty flavor. To offset the saltiness, we went with the Bufala, it had fresh basil, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, really light overall. Round 2 was pasta time, starting with the Carbonara. This is a top tier carbonara, a little heavier and creamier than most, but really is executed perfectly and comforting. The White Truffle risotto was flawless. Creamy, comforting as well, and the white truffles had notes of pepper and garlic, and that complimented the risotto very well. A new winter special that they have is the wild boar ragu. It’s an off-menu item but you can still order it. It’s tender, and does a nice job of being integrated with the pappardelle noodles. Now time for some protein, kicking things off with my personal favorite chicken dish in the city. It’s got a crispy cheese shell on the outside, lemony, and comes with some sautéed spinach to offset the heavier flavors. The rack of lamb was impressive, and we loved the tenderness of it. Lastly, the salmon was soft and served with lemon and thyme oil on a bed of braised lentils, this dish was executed perfectly. For dessert, we had the tiramisu that was soft, perfect flavor of espresso, and creamy. The buttercake was slightly more dense, but still soft as well and my favorite.

“We absolutely love this place.”
We absolutely love this place! This is one of the best kept secrets of Chicago. And we have been coming here for years. The Fettuccine Al Granchi was so delicious! I wish I had done the full serving. The Avocado Antipasti was the perfect appetizer to the meal. And the limoncello shots we the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Can't wait to come back for my birthday.

“This is a classy Italian restaurant in the River North Gallery District.”
This is a classy Italian restaurant in the River North Gallery District. Atmosphere filled with beautiful artwork reminds me of Venice, Italy. Perfect for romantic dates and special occasions. Everything we ordered off the menu was outstanding. The vodka dirty martinis with blue cheese olives were wicked good. Waitstaff is kind and pleasant. We had a great experience on my first visit. If you get there early enough, there’s street parking. I managed to park right in front of the restaurant for a 6 PM reservation. Parking gets a little tight after that. We ordered several dishes to share family style. A few favorites from the menu, Avocado with grilled Maine lobster and prawns, the Wagyu Carpaccio, The Meatball, Polpo Grilled baby octopus, crispy fingerling potatoes. All delicious! Crème Brûlée for dessert was divine. They also have happy hour from 5pm - 6:15pm so if you get there early enough, there is a lovely assortment of cocktails, appetizers, and main menu items for almost half the price. This restaurant is definitely on my recommendations and revisit list.

“This is one a great Italian restaurant that literally never disappoints.”
This is one a great Italian restaurant that literally never disappoints! If you’re downtown, do yourself a favor and book a reservation. It’s also a great date night restaurant. Their pastas are all made in house and it will be a crime to skip dessert and their legendary tiramisu. After a trip to Italy, I can confirm the delicious dessert is 100% authentic! Service is always top notch too no matter how busy they get.

“Visiting from out of town and ate at Prosecco this evening.”
Visiting from out of town and ate at Prosecco this evening. Food was delicious, especially the homemade pasta. There was a small issue with my dessert and the manager went above and beyond to fix it, with a free dessert and a limoncello on the house! I don't recall being treated so well in a restaurant before. Well done and thank you.

Bellissimo! After living in Rome, Italy 🇮🇹 It’s hard to find true authentic Italian cuisine in America. Their food was spectacular. The service was phenomenal. They were very attentive to detailed and perfect. The ambience was romantic and sexy. Dimmed lighting gave a nice evening glow while watching the rain out the window. So Italian, the art is beautiful. Very Easily accessible by Uber, Taxi or Lyft, even trains or Buses since we don’t want to drive after we drink. Now let’s talk about the Old school soul Music. I walk in the Ladies room and there playing music from the 70’s Food perfectly cooked al dente. The seafood Pasta was delicious al dente. the Seafood was fresh Probably flown in from Naples, Italy? Tiramisu Yummy to my tummy. With such a large america portion we couldn’t finish our food so we had to 4 different To go bags. There where 5 different birthday celebrations on a Tue night April 4, We also has a Birthday for my Friend Michelle.
