Ate here two nights in a row this week and both times the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. Chicken piccata, beet salad, Caesar salad, the drinks, everything well made, fresh and excellent. Very highly recommend!

Attended their 10 year anniversary wine dinner and was very impressed by the menu and pairings the chefs pulled together! Their dishes always taste light and fresh and they have great events and happy hour offerings.

Nonnina’s is a great River North spot if you’re craving classic Italian food in a cozy, date-night kind of setting. We started with a couple cocktails, the Giovanna and the Cristina. Both were super refreshing and really easy to drink. The baked brie was rich, gooey, and perfect for sharing. The burrata and prosciutto with melon, tomatoes, and vinegar was really fresh and balanced, especially nice if you want something lighter. For mains, the beef lasagna was the standout. Super comforting, layered, and honestly one of the better lasagnas I’ve had in the city. The rigatoni alla vodka was also really solid, creamy, flavorful, and easy to finish. For dessert, we did the tiramisu, which you kind of have to at an Italian place, and a panna cotta with cherry sauce that was lighter but still really good and not too heavy after the meal. Overall, Nonnina’s is definitely one I’d go back to, especially for a chill date night or when you want good pasta and cocktails in River North.

Amazing staff and really good food. The baked Brie was delicious. We ordered the lasagna and the Margherita pizza, and both were excellent. We sat on the patio, which was really nice and so calm. I would definitely recommend this place.

Fresh bread with butter or olive oil. Chicken piccata with pasta and capers. Very delicious. I would highly recommend this dish. We sat on the street and enjoyed the people, street life and fantastic food. Service was attentive and friendly.

I had heard a lot about this place before visiting, and I am happy to say it lived up to the expectations. It was my first time dining here, and I was impressed from the moment I walked in. The holiday decorations were beautifully done and added a festive charm to the already welcoming atmosphere. The menu felt well balanced, offering a great selection of authentic Italian dishes. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. I also really enjoyed the cocktails, which were well crafted and paired perfectly with the meal. Between the delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is definitely a restaurant I would recommend to anyone craving quality Italian cuisine.

We came to Nonnina for dinner before attending a show in the Loop. For our starter, we went with the octopus which was fantastic. It had a little bit of a kick and the peppers were a nice touch. For my main, I went with the lasagna. It was delicious and a good portion size as well. My girlfriend got the gluten-free short rib pasta. I had a bite of it when she got too full and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very accommodating of her celiac and able to ensure she enjoyed a safe and delicious meal. I also got a couple espresso martinis which really hit the spot and made sure I could stay awake for the entire show.
