I hate to write this bad review and I don’t know if it was a fluke, but I ordered “The Lou” yesterday for delivery, and what I got was a shriveled up pizza that was like it was under a heat lamp all day and stale.

First time visit at this, Lou Malnati’s… Are welcome was incredible… The manager really enjoys his work… Enjoys customer service… And enjoys delivering a wonderful delicious flavorful product… My daughter and I came in for lunch had salad salads and the personal pizzas… They were piping hot the pizzas… And the salads were garden fresh… The atmosphere is awesome. The setting in the Neighbourhood is just perfect… I can’t wait to come back during warmer weather and sit outside and enjoy this wonderful restaurant… I highly recommended those that see my reviews. No I eat and only say positive things at the most wonderful of restaurants… Loved our lunch visit…

Since its our first time in Chicago we naturally had to try the deep dish pizza, and there is no better place to have one than Lou Malnati's! They did not disappoint with the buttery crust and fresh toppings, it was the best introduction to deep dish pizza that we ever could have asked for. We got The Lou pizza and the sampler of appetizers! Highly recommend giving them a try if you are visiting Chicago for the first time or a local who just wants some good pizza!

I took my friends who were visiting from out of town to Lou's this past Monday since they wanted to try deep dish pizza before they left (it was actually my first time as well). Emily took care of us, and she was awesome! Incredibly attentive and helpful in terms of understanding the menu and providing reccos. The pizza was great too - not something I'd have often but the next time I get a craving for deep dish I'll definitely stop by Lou's. Shoutout to Emily for making the experience great - hope to come back soon.

**Exceptional Service and Amazing Deep Dish!** Had an outstanding experience at Lou Malnati's! Our server Jesse was absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond. They explained how authentic Chicago deep dish differs from regular pizza, which really enhanced our meal. The deep dish itself was incredible with perfect crust and generous toppings. What made the night special was when Jesse surprised our birthday boy with a pizza cookie and sang happy birthday at our table. Jesse's warmth and attentiveness made this more than just dinner - it was a genuinely great experience. Highly recommend for both the food and outstanding service!

We’ve been to this location many times, and it’s always fairly consistent. Currently, our favorite order is a small The Lou with two orders of meatballs. The balance of veggies with the buttery crust and rich meatballs is seriously flavorful. Sometimes the crust can get a little soggy from the tomatoes, but the flavor is always on point. A small The Lou isn’t quite enough food for two normal-sized humans, so the double meatballs really help turn it into a full meal.

I usually don’t review franchises places since we all tried it and we already know it ! However this place surprises me with the clean environment and really great service! The went above and beyond to correct a small mid understand in my order , it’s really hard to go out for eating when you have 3 kids at hand ( you know the craziness)they still clean my little boy mess and have been so nice to all my kids ! Definitely we will be back again thank you all Lou Malnati’s staff and management for everything!

Always a guaranteed great pizza pie in my opinion! I would say I liked the pizza better at the Lou Malnatis on Irving in Old Irving Park, however. The thick butter crust ‘Lou’ special is our go to, we got the large for a group of 4 of us plus a family size Cesar salad. It was a TON of salad, so I would recommend getting the large portion for a group of 4. Definitely keep room for the baked chocolate chip pizza with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on top😋 our server was super nice. He seemed swamped, though, and he did mention it was super busy for 6pm and that usually it gets really busy about 7pm on a Saturday. He didn’t refill our drinks and forgot to put in the thin pizza we ordered, but that actually worked out for the best since we were so full from what food did come out! The place is definitely “kid-friendly” so do go in expecting a lot of families and kid noise. Tables are spaced out though so it’s not congested or too loud. There’s a cool wall of real plants.
