Ciccio Mio
Ciccio Mio — one of River North's strongest italian spots. The kind of spot that earns loyalty, not hype. Built on solid, fresh produce. "The crispy edges of the noodles in the lasagna were the best part, and my boyfriend’s pasta was so rich" — Didobrov [$$$, patio]

“10/10 experience. Cole was an EXCELLENT server. Super attentive to the table and knowledgeable to all things food and wine! We started with the focaccia and whipped ricotta which was delicious. For our mains, my mom and I split the ricotta gnocchi and the carbonara. The gnocchi was bursting with flavor!! It basically melted in your mouth. The carbonara was also delicious and cooked perfectly. My dad got the short rib which was also amazing. For dessert, we got the tiramisu and it was of course, delicious. I got an espresso martini which I thought to be okay but I also never get espresso martinis without baileys so I know for next time. Lastly, the restaurant is super cute and cozy, it’s perfect!”

“That was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! The dim lighting, little candles on every table&soft music in the background, the interior... It just felt so cozy. The truffle pasta & Bellini had me doing my little happy dance at the table🥹”

“One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago! The food is always so consistent, and the atmosphere is perfect for a cozy date night with dim lighting and a great ambiance. The burrata is an absolute must order. It’s flown in fresh from Italy a few times a week, and you can definitely taste the quality. The Rigatoni Vodka is another favorite of mine. It’s rich, creamy, and always delicious. We also loved the Ricotta Gnocchi, Bucatini Amatriciana, and finished with the Toasted Almond Cookie Soft Serve, which was the perfect dessert. The service was friendly and attentive, and every visit has been a great experience. Definitely worth the reservation!”

“Solid Italian spot. Decor is really nice and intimate. Service good all around. Would recommend the olive oil cake for dessert.”

“Ciccio Mio truly exceeded my expectations! We sat on the patio and it was perfect for a relaxing dinner. Our waitress was absolutely amazing: friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The food was incredible, with every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. Everything was top-notch. Highly Recommend!”

“WOW!! Food, atmosphere, literally everything. So buss. My friend and I started with the mozz sticks and focaccia and it was so delish!! We split vodka pasta w/ chicken and I loved it! The noodles were perfect and the chicken was cooked rlly good. The Caesar salad was just okay. I wasn’t wowed by the Caesar. We got the almond gelato and the citrus oil cake. Both were insane. Our server Jessica was awesome and absolutely killed it!! Such a great bday dinner celebration!!”

“10/10 experience loved the place. Amazing food. Did not know it was this famous we just walked in and luckily got offered the lounge to eat. Great ambience and staff.”

“Ciccio Mio gave us an unforgettable dining experience. Every single dish, from the rich, comforting pasta to the perfectly cooked mains, was flawless. The attention to detail and ingredient quality is top-notch. The restaurant has this beautifully warm, dim-lit atmosphere that made our night even more special. The wine pairing was a perfect match, and the service was highly professional. One of the top spots in Chicago for sure.”

“Love everything about this place. Drinks are top as well as the food. Perfect for dates.”

“Incredible inside and out! The food, the service, the ambiance, everything about this place was fantastic.”

“Waited quite a while to get seated with a reservation, they were upfront with us, they do have valet which is not complimentary. The atmosphere is really unique and cozy it’s a great vibe. The food is was really good and the ricotta gnocchi was the best unique texture and the filling was very smooth. The truffle pasta was also a unique pasta well seasoned. The vodka rigatoni was a great classic can’t go wrong. My favorite dish was the pavlova it was a very good dessert filled with different flavors of sweet and tangy with different textures overall a good place to visit albeit the wait time was quite extended despite our reservation. Worth the visit.”
