What a charming and authentic Chicago experience. We recently attended a birthday party at Borelli's and absolutely fell in love with this place. The food (pizzas, salad, pasta) were like eating a wonderful home cooked meal. The place is small and intimate with a stage for live music and a little bar for drinks. The owner could not have been nicer... makes you feel right at home. There was even a play area for the kids in the back with an antique carousel ride and puppet theater. I wish we lived in the city because we would visit here again and again!

“Family friendly local Pizza joint.”

Family friendly local Pizza joint. We found this place on accident and was a wonderful experience-good thin crust pizza, incredibly friendly owner, vinyl records, games and fun-even had chess to play. Great neighborhood pizza place.

“Pretty disappointed.”

Pretty disappointed. Read the great reviews online and thought this place was worth checking out. The pizza itself tasted ok but the overall experience was very poor. 3 significant mistakes with a 2 item order is terrible execution. 1. I specifically asked for our pizza to be pie cut in the online order. The cashier pointed out that she “accidentally” tavern cut it. This is a giant pet peeve for me and I would have asked for it to be remade if I had more time., 2. Ordered boneless wings, specifically write that I want them covered in hot Buffalo with blue cheese on the side. What I got - Plain wings, hot sauce, no blue cheese anywhere. Great., 3. We open the pizza and there is this burnt black sand looking stuff all over one side of it on the bottom. I’m assuming they decided to scrap the oven as my order was in there. Looked absolutely disgusting. I’m seriously shocked they managed to get this much wrong. 1st and last time they’ll get an order from me. They get 2 stars because the pizza not covered in sand was edible.

Ordered pickup and I wanted out front to pickup my pizza, while waiting I noticed a grown teenager making the pizza with no mask, scratching theyre face and apron and even drinking and snacking while making my pizza. givin the times that’s extremely gross and unsanitary. When I went in The staff seemed to be run by clueless teenagers. The female cashier seemed like a deer in headlights and gave my a cold pizza from on top of the oven, which she barely could reach, making me concerned if they even clean up there And finally the pizza….. the dough was like a under baked cracker, it was tough but soft at the same time. the pepperoni was tasteless and the cheese mediocre. After 2 bites the whole pizza went in the trash Even my cat didn’t like it and she loves pizza And now for the cannolis, they look inappropriate and tasted worse All in all, for $36 for the whole meal this was terrible, I wish we could have returned it once we saw the kid touching everything but we had already paid
