The Spice Room — neighborhood indian in Logan Square. Order the Naan. The welcome here is real, and BYOB. "Love most of their dishes, but their pao bhaji is the best in the city" — Aditya Gupta

“Best Indian food in the city.”
Best Indian food in the city. Other places I've tried don't stand a chance vs the authentic taste here. We have been here numerous times and they are always consistent with everything. Tried the chicken kadai, mutter paneer, deal tarka, samosa, onion pakora, raita, garlic naan and roti. Servers are respectful.

This place is super popular, especially for takeout—they even have a dedicated window for pickups. But don’t worry, dining in is just as good, and you won’t feel disturbed by the takeout traffic at all. The naan is delicious—thin with a slightly chewy texture, and it holds up perfectly with the dipping sauces. I loved it! I had the Chicken Saag tonight, and it was just the right amount of spicy and super flavorful. Definitely recommend!

Had butter chicken from other places that tasted like garbage, the spice room does it right and the garlic nan was pretty fire 🔥 as well. I'll definitely be ordering again in the future.

Excellent food!! Just ordered delivery from here on a whim. Got the chicken biryani and my roommate got the vegetable biryani. Both were incredibly flavorful and had requested in the order notes to make the biryani spicy and they did a perfect job. Looking forward to try out more dishes from here!

“Cozy place to get some nice Indian food.”
Cozy place to get some nice Indian food. Gracious servers, quick service and scrumptious flavors make this a perfect pick for your next north indian food craving. Portions are regular two curries usually work well for a party of 4 with sides of appetizers and bread. Rice is served with curries.

“Every single dish is incredible.”
Every single dish is incredible. They’re the perfect size to get a dish on your own or to share a selection. I recommend the butter paneer, Rohan josh lamb, madras chicken, malai kofta, and lamb vindaloo. Be warned, most of the dishes have some spice to them. The Vindaloo is sweat-inducing, but delicious. The service is also always impeccable and I’ve never had a complaint.

“This place is serious about refilling your water.”
This place is serious about refilling your water. Like, for real, if you’re thirsty, get down to the Spice Room where they don’t even let your glass stay 80% full. That #?!* gotta be filled to the top. The food is amazing too. 10/10

Overall a nice dinning experience. I highly recommend the rose lassi. The shrimp korma could have used just a pinch more flavor.
