Rangoli Indian Cuisine — an indian spot in Wicker Park. Order the Indian Food. The flavors don't apologize for being bold, and BYOB. "The chicken tiki masala is divine & creamy, the lamb is tender" — Antwon McMullen

“Visited Rangoli Indian Cuisine at their North Avenue location for dinner.”
Visited Rangoli Indian Cuisine at their North Avenue location for dinner. The staff was very friendly and made the whole experience feel welcoming. We ordered a variety of dishes, and a few things really stood out especially the Gobi Manchurian, tadka daal, and the desserts. The gulab jamun and mango kulfi were both a great way to end the meal. They offer a nice range of vegetarian options, and with two locations in Chicago, it’s a convenient spot to check out if you’re into Indian cuisine.

“My new favorite Indian spot in Chicago.”
My new favorite Indian spot in Chicago! The pav bhaji, chicken tikka masala, and matter paneer were absolutely delicious and rich with flavor. Be warned - the food here is definitely as spicy as advertised. Each entree was around $12-15, a fair price for the amount of food.

“Tired this place on a Friday night.”
Tired this place on a Friday night. We started off with Gobi Manchurian which was delicious. For main course we then had Kofta Makhani and Lamb Curry with tandoori roti and Naan. The food was tasty and was served hot. The service was great and the Indian server was very warm. The ambiance is just ok. I would say this place was a pleasant surprise with Indian flavours. I would recommend to try it!

“The place has a good ambience and the service was quick, efficient and friendly.”
The place has a good ambience and the service was quick, efficient and friendly. The food itself was very tasty - well-prepared, correct combination of tastes and spiciness, etc. The Gobi Manchurian appetizer was mouthwatering in taste, crispiness etc. The quantities were a little too less, but nothing else to complain about as far as the food was concerned. Parking on the street was free and plentiful, one more advantage over the complete chaos of Devon street.

“I ordered the lamb vindaloo....which was maybe my error.”
I ordered the lamb vindaloo....which was maybe my error. I've never seen a vindaloo dish with so much oil (or ghee). This made the sauce more like a soup. Taste wise it was okay. Definitely an Americanized vindaloo as it wasn't very hot. The lentils were good as was the naan bread. The lamb in the lamb samosas was rather dry and crumbly. The flavour was okay. Overall a bit of a meh experience.....especially for the price.
