“Amazing food and super friendly staff. Definitely a hidden gem in the city. Everything was cooked fresh and portions were great, we had a ton of leftovers. Feels like you’re invited to someone’s house for a great home cooked meal. Price is really great too.”

“One of the best cuisines i've ever had. Had their chicken soup as a starter, which was so flavorful and reminded me of caldo de pollo. Their dumplings, chicken chow mein, and lamb curry were all exceptional. service was attentive and professional. will be recommending to anyone who listens!”

“Great spot for Indian food. Great lunch special and friendly service”

“Such a great place to stop on a cold snowy day. We got the Chana masala and chicken madras as mains, both with garlic naan and both great. The server was kind enough to let us try gulab jamun and it was also incredible. Definitely hope they deliver to our apartment!”

“Amazing food w Amazing flavors and you cant go wrong with the fact that they offer BYOB!! Gotta have the Garlic Naan! 💯 You wont regret this place nd I highly recommend the chicken tiki masala or buttered chicken 🤌”

“The food was great as we expected. This was our first time trying the restaurant as we were visiting the city for the weekend. Our host was really nice and welcoming and made experience a lot better for us. She was really sweet! The dishes were flavorful and tasty!”

“Absolutely FANTASTIC food!!! Chef Bhojraj really knows his stuff. The chicken and goat curry we got really hit home and felt like homemade food. Hidden gem this place is. We dined in, the service was great and prompt.”

“Just the MOST DELICIOUS FOOD in all of Chicago. I'd recommend the Nepalese Chicken/ Goat Curry and Aloo ka Achar. Just Beautiful cooking. Tastes like Home. Hits every single note on the palate. Chef Bhojraj is from Kathmandu, so this is as authentic as it gets. Better than every Indian restaurant I've eaten in Chicago. Go get some real food.”

“I live in a small foodie town so I enjoy it when I get to a big foodie city. I am visiting my daughter in Chicago and the first day here she recommended Gorkha Kitchen for lunch. There are so many small neighborhood restaurants here but she promised me this is one of the best (it's in Lakeview). The vibe was laid back with the owners being very welcoming. I ordered the Chicken Madras and she ordered the Lamb Korma and needed it gluten free, which isn't always easy to navigate. Surprisingly, they were on top of it all and answered all her questions with ease. The real surprise was the food! My Madras was superb, a perfect mix of spicy and savory. The homemade naan was fantastic, light and buttery. She said her Korma was great....as always! The servings were a healthy size so I continued my feast a few hours later in her condo. The menu has something for everyone and anyone who needs gluten free options needs to go here. This was my first but definitely not my last time visiting them. Thank you Gorkha Kitchen!”

“Very cozy spot to escape the cold. Good nepalese curry and strong acidic flavors. Spicy but not enough to burn! Dessert was too delish, couldnt take a photo fast enough. Overall solid place to try something different”

“Ordered delivery and really enjoyed the steamed chicken momos and the Chicken Chilly Fried Momos—they were definitely tasty. Unfortunately, the Indian dishes were a letdown. We ordered the palak paneer and butter chicken; the butter chicken was quite watery and the chicken quality was poor. Also, I’m not sure why red food coloring is used—more Kashmiri chili powder would be a much better choice. The garlic naan was quite nice. Overall, I’d recommend focusing on their Nepali specialties rather than the Indian dishes.”
