The Fish Keg — a food spot in Rogers Park. It wears its years well. Cocktails here aren't an afterthought. Rajesh Kurra: "The shrimp were well seasoned and a little over battered"

“You can't get your favorite, and try something exotic like oysters, caviar, or maybe olives with a hint of sardines”
One of the best places for fresh seafood. Good batter good sauces. I get the catfish and it's delicious.
Love this take out place for shrimp and scallops.
I used to live in Chicago but have not for almost 20 years.
Five stars for service food and atmosphere. It’s great.

“The KEG, like, this place keeps being the same.”
The KEG, like, this place keeps being the same. Amazing. For myself since 1968, 4th grade. Fried Perch is still the same.

Okay, I confess I only stopped in because I love their sign and wanted a t-shirt. Which they have, in multiple colors. 👍

“Classic place serving up seafood to go.”
Classic place serving up seafood to go. The food is slightly expensive but it's very tasty. I had shrimp and scallops, and the scallops in particular were delicious, fried to perfection. My father went here frequently when he was a child and when I'm in the area I always make a stop.

“Great little family owned spot.”
Great little family owned spot. Food cooked to order and sides made from scratch. Everything was delicious. I tried the Cajun catfish nuggets and a couple chicken wings and everything was tasty and crispy. It’s awesome finding these place still exist. I’ll be back.

“Fresh cooked, from fresh.”
Fresh cooked, from fresh. Gives one the opportunity. To find and try new delicacies with your meal. The wait is over before you know it and this meal lasted me for a full week with sides. Along with local and foreign fare to go along with it. If you've been itching to try something new in seafood go here. You can't get your favorite, and try something exotic like oysters, caviar, or maybe olives with a hint of sardines. Not that daring grab some capers, or a sweet habenro Chula hot sauce to dashbonto your fish fry. You can order a lot or a little.

“Great hidden place.”
Great hidden place. I have been eating there since I was a kid (50 years or so). The shrimp or chicken in a bag are the BOMB! Scallops or clam strips too! You eat in your car or take it home because its takeout only.
