“Finally a good restaurant in the neighborhood! I never order burgers but I was so hungry and I didn’t regret it It came out fairly quickly, charred grilled and juicy. The server was super nice and friendly I sat outside on the patio and enjoy my little solo date. I’ll definitely be back😊”

“Bar on Buena is a great local neighborhood pub and gathering place with good food, a great selection of beers, and a casual atmosphere. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try their house made veggie burger - I have had their delicious blue cheese and onion burger several times. And I’m glad that I did. It was flavorful and cooked well and avoided the dense and pasty quality that other house made veggie burgers often suffer. A delightful outdoor seating area that is partially covered places you right in the redlined neighborhood. Just off broadway and a 5 minute walk from the Sheridan L stop makes it pretty easy to get there without the hassle of finding a spot to park.”
“I live in the area and have been to Bar on Buena many times out of convenience. Unfortunately, it’s just never really clicked for me. The food has consistently been underwhelming. The bathroom is extremely small and awkwardly laid out, which adds to the discomfort. Service has also been hit or miss. It’s often hard to get help, and beer recommendations haven’t landed for me. Overall, I don’t enjoy spending much time here. I assume others enjoy this place as it’s been open for years, so this is just my personal experience. After several tries, I’ve realized it’s simply not my jam.”

“We're from NY. We came to see a game at Wrigley. Awesome. We start at the parking lot and made our way south on foot. Don't dare take the bus and miss this place. We get to here and finish at Murphy's. This place blows Murphy's away. The atmosphere is your neighborhood bar, the service is personal. It set the mood and experience perfectly. Next time in Chicago, I know there's no place else needed to go. Hats off to you. The vibe is what I remember a bar to be growing up in the 70s before bars started disappearing and turning in Dave and Busters..”
“I wish I lived closer so I could come here more. Amazing service. Everyone was so kind and my drink didn’t go empty. The pozole might have been one of the best I have ever had. The burger and chicken tinga tacos were fantastic. I had a great time. I’m gonna order another drink. Tip your bartender. Tip your server. Wow.”
