Peckish Pig
Peckish Pig — honest bar & grill in Rogers Park. It gets busy, and that's part of the appeal. Strong bar program alongside the food. "Every item on the menu was delicious and fresh" — Jack Alix [$$, patio]

“We visited twice in one week. After our first meal with some friends, my girlfriend liked it so much that she insisted we come back two days later. The Spicy Salmon Bowl is excellent and absolutely worth ordering. The kimchi was a really nice addition that added just the right amount of tang and contrast to the salmon and rice. On our second visit, I managed to create some confusion with my food allergy. I had ordered the Spicy Salmon Bowl the first time, then came back and accidentally ordered the Scottish Salmon Poke Bowl after only glancing at the menu. Thinking it was the same dish, I assured the staff it had been fine before. When we realized the mix-up, they were incredibly understanding and helped make things right. I really appreciated how gracious and accommodating they were, especially since the mistake was mine and they were quite busy that night. We also tried the Chocolate Mousse with homemade raspberry coulis for dessert. The raspberry paired really well with the mousse, and I especially appreciated that the chocolate flavor leaned pleasantly bitter rather than overly sweet. The outdoor patio is fantastic: quiet, shaded with dappled sunlight, and surrounded by colorful walls. A great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Thank you again to the team for being so supportive.”

“Great brew pub with a wide selection of beers and eats. They also have a fantastic weekend brunch and in the warmer month they have a fun patio section in the back. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.”

“Great food with a great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and have great reccomendations. The tikka masala flat bread is one of my favorites. Every cocktail I have had is amazing. Stop in for happy hour from 4:30-6 during the week for the best deals! Update 12/17/25: The chicken tikka flatbread is back! Along with other fabulous winter menu items. Chef Deb has answered my prayers!”

“Peckish Pig is a not to miss, in summer their outdoor Brick patio is a place that demonstrates how to do atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, they host a triva night with prizes bring a team or join one. The Burger is a bit high priced but the flavor levels that out. The Bar tenders have Dilirum to PBR but wont serve if the flavor even seems a bit off. They didnt know how often the lines were cleaned but the manager was busy i had triva. Ill definelty be back nd check on this again. Go in eat, drink, be Merry : this is the way. Dont forget to tell them Badmonkeyking sent you.”

“Really nice place with a great summer atmosphere. We stopped for brunch and had a really nice time. The table bread was donuts and that was fun and unique! 🍩”

“Stopped by for brunch. We’ve been here many times and the food is always enjoyable. The patio is great in warmer weather. While not fancy, this is often a go-to for special meals.”

“Good drinks and food. Spacious inside and fun outdoor area.”

“I highly recommend this restaurant. It has a soft dark ambience, large portion sizes, and great servers. Their Spicy Seafood Stew and Magherita Flatbread are a must.”

“I've been going here for a while and at first I thought maybe the changes to the menu they made just wasn't my personal taste, but it's pretty clear now that the quality and value have gone downhill. The cocktails and french fries were good, buy most of our entrées lacked flavor. The Seared Tuna on the salad was a rough chop, the green beans had stems and stalks, the "roasted Brussel sprouts" were steamed. AND the 11$ Sticky Toffee Pudding was barely bigger than a school lunch brownie.”
“Amazing food, that's upscale barbecue that does not disappoint. Check out the lamb burger and the brisket mac and cheese because they're unique, like nothing else that you've ever tasted. Definitely recommend it to anybody who's in the area, and we'll be back every time we're in town.”
