Brass Tack — clean, consistent food in Gold Coast. Worth ordering a drink, because the bar holds its own. The team can walk you through the menu. ", Steak and Eggs (mouth watering), the quiche for the day was savory that satisfied our palate and tastebuds" — Emer A

“My daughter had blueberry pancakes (which were insanely good) and I went with their smash burger (which was pretty good; not the best I've had but filling for sure”

“My wife and I dined here for breakfast and lunch while staying at the Waldorf.”
My wife and I dined here for breakfast and lunch while staying at the Waldorf. The food and drink was incredible. The vibe and setting was cool, and the service was top tier. Robert served us both times and we came away from both experiences saying that we have to leave this review if not to let people know how great this place is then to let the world know how great Robert is. Thank you for the fantastic service, banter, and warm hospitality Robert! As for the food, I can highly recommend the breakfast sandwich (possible the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had) and the caesar salad. As for cocktails, I got the coffee house which was amazing!

“Brass Tack is tucked inside the Waldorf; I came here with my family for brunch on a Sunday afternoon.”
Brass Tack is tucked inside the Waldorf; I came here with my family for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. If I'm being candid we needed a spot to duck into to escape the rain, and everyone was hungry lol. That said, my visit here was nothing short of stellar, and I shall return once my back account recovers. Upon entry we were seated with no delay by a window (without reservation.) The place is low lit and there were musicians playing so it has a speakeasy vibe which was interesting. My daughter had blueberry pancakes (which were insanely good) and I went with their smash burger (which was pretty good; not the best I've had but filling for sure.) What took the cake for me were the drinks; I tried the Exchange and La Villita and they were worth every penny... Particularly the La Villita (if you're a fan of a little spice.) But here's the thing: the cocktails were ~$25 a piece, so tread lightly. Service was on point, and even tho the bill was more than I wanted to spend...i gladly dropped the coin. Highly recommend!

“Great upscale diner within the Waldorf Astoria, you enter from the street from a dedicated elevator...”
Great upscale diner within the Waldorf Astoria, you enter from the street from a dedicated elevator or from within the hotel itself. We ordered a few things to split and it was the perfect amount of food. We loved the French Onion Soup (5/5) but pricey, and split the Cesar salad which was amazing (5/5), then also split a mushroom pizza (5/5), and the Calamari (4/5). They also have a nice selection of wine and a small cocktail menu. Nice hidden gem to check out in river north.

“Ate there for five days only one dish that I thought was just average (breakfast sandwich), rest were excellent.”
Ate there for five days only one dish that I thought was just average (breakfast sandwich), rest were excellent. Last day I had the restaurant week lunch (French onion soup, Chicken Sandwich, chocolate cake) which was very generous portion and very tasty. Lobster toast was over the top, one of my favorite this week however might be heavy for some. Crab Benedict was on lighter as it was filled with asparagus alongside crabs and two eggs.

“A lovely experience.”
A lovely experience. I enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant, from beginning to end. Our waiter was attentive and helpful with suggestions. Our drinks were very good. We ordered shrimp cocktail, shrimp polenta, and a mushroom side. All very delicious! Dessert was beautifully decadent. And scenery at the Waldorf was an included bonus!

“We came here on a Sunday brunch.”
We came here on a Sunday brunch. Our dining experienced here was so much fun! We enjoyed the delicious food (The Brasserie French Toast is the bomb!, Steak and Eggs (mouth watering), the quiche for the day was savory that satisfied our palate and tastebuds! Good service! Our waiter Seth was very observant, they gave me another glass of hot chocolate as if they read my mind. Sent me a steak knife right away when they noticed I don't have one. Those small things that made our experienced here extra special. The Jazz Live Band playing was very good. It gave a classy vibes in the place. This particular band only plays every Sunday, so we will see them again. We really like them. (Ive heard There's also other bands that play during the week). We will definitely coming back here as we love the food, the service and totally like the classy vibes in this cozy, stylist, restaurant.

“Breakfast at Margeaux Brasserie was a lovely experience.”
Breakfast at Margeaux Brasserie was a lovely experience. We had a table near the windows and were able to watch it snow. Breakfast was cozy and a quiet experience (before 10 a.m.). The food was fantastic and upscale. Service was attentive and friendly. The smoked salmon croissant eggs benedict was some of the best I've ever eaten. The croque madame crepes were rich, decadent, and a skilled balance of flavors. If you're looking for a place to celebrate over breakfast, try this restaurant!

“Came here for a cocktail with my gf before heading to dinner.”
Came here for a cocktail with my gf before heading to dinner. The bar has a great vibe and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The bartender was very attentive and provided good service throughout our visit. Their bourbon and whiskey selection was very impressive although I ended up ordering my usual Eagle Rare bourbon. The food looked fantastic so we’re planning on dining here the next time we’re in town.
