“Blue Sushi Sake Grill absolutely delivers- every single time. The quality of the food is exceptional, and their commitment to responsibly sourced, line-caught seafood makes the experience even better. Every dish was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor.... and some a little heat! My business partner isn't a fan of fish- so talking him into Sushi took some work. The Cowgirl is a vegetarian roll that legit tastes like a hamburger (serious sorcery), the Hot Popper and Crunchy LA are great rolls for newbies! They have awesome kitchen items too. For those who like raw- the Cherry Bomb NEEDS to be on your try list.... it's amazing! The atmosphere is effortlessly cool—modern, and energetic. It's a vibe. The cocktail program is just as impressive as the food, with creative, beautifully crafted drinks that are worth exploring. Our faves were the Expresso (10/10) and the Tokyo Fizz (10/10) What really stood out was the service. The staff was knowledgeable, trendy (reflective of the brand), and engaged-- which speaks to the restaurant's training and culture. If you're looking for outstanding sushi, an incredible beverage program, and a vibrant dining experience in Chicago, Blue Sushi Sake Grill is a must-visit.”

“Great vibe and even better food! Reasonably priced with fresh traditional rolls plus many creative ones. Highly recommend their alcohol free beverages, coconut crab soup, mango crab rangoon, and of course sushi!”

“Really nice selection of vegan sushi with happy hour deals you can't beat. Recommend going with friends and getting a bunch of different sushi to eat. Desserts are also pretty tasty, huge fan of the lychee mochi.”

“I visited Blue Sushi Sake Grill in River North with a friend and was really impressed. This spot is way more visually stunning than your average sushi place. The ceiling covered in glowing red lanterns creates such a cool, immersive vibe that immediately pulls you in (it’s definitely a spot you’ll want to photograph). We came for weekday happy hour which runs until 6:30 p.m. and that alone makes this place worth visiting. Happy hour sushi in River North is rare, so being able to try a variety of rolls at a great price was a huge win. We ordered a bunch of sushi, including some crispy rolls, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I also loved the refreshing touch of cucumber slices in the water. Small detail, but it elevates the whole experience. The staff was friendly, the ambiance was fun without being too loud, and overall it’s a great place for a casual dinner, date night, or a group hang — especially if you love a spot with a strong aesthetic. I’d definitely return to try more rolls next time!”

“Decorated very nicely in a instagram worthy style with large lanterns throughout, a bar area and large dining section. Went for happy hour because the prices looked good. Oddly enough when we called, we were told not to bother going since they were busy, but upon arrival we noticed that half the restaurant was empty. The food were made quickly. Service was friendly and efficient. The rolls look very nice. Unfortunately there is just a lack of a key ingredient for sushi- fish. Many of the rolls came with fake crab and barely and fish. It was a big disappointment for me. We decided to wrap up and go elsewhere for dinner. Note there is an additional 3.5% surcharge which can be waived.”
