“First time here and we ordered mariscada and tuna ceviche tostadas.”

First time here and we ordered mariscada and tuna ceviche tostadas. The mariscada was unfortunately over cooked. The flavor was there but over cooked. The tostadas were 🔥, super fresh super delicious and would definitely order again! To drink we had La poblanita and Flor de muerto. They both tasted good but definitely would come back just for La Poblanita. We actually ordered 2 to go and it was the best. Then we came back yesterday and had a few more drinks 😆.

When life weighs heavily on you, take a personal day to yourself. I'm glad I did and explored this restaurant, Bar Sol. My server was Joyce, and she was A+++. Joyce suggested the Camarron appetizer, which was a shrimp and pineapple dish that was great. I also had the garlic shrimp dish which was perfect as well.

We had a great lunch at Barsol. The lobster roll topped with sturgeon caviar was amazing. Fish and chips and the crab tacos were great too! Good portions and very tasty food. Definitely recommended!

“The food was great.”

The food was great. We ate “camarones al sol” as apettizer and “parrillada chica” ufff everything was amazing. The “parrillada” had a mix between seafood, chicken, beef, even green chorizo. We love it. Also it is in Navy pier so you have a great view.

BEST RESTAURANT IN CHICAGO! But—> Thanks TO ERNESTO! Thank you for being so welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu, you made us feel like wonderful. All I can say is if you come to this restaurant you NEED to ask for ernesto. Also the food is FIRE! So so so good!!!!!!! This was out last restaurant ti visit from our vacation trip and I wish I knew about this restaurant before so We can come every day, (yes, it is that good) Thanks again Also the VIEW IS SPECTACULAR. I recently dined at a Mexican restaurant with a group of five, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was outstanding—full of flavor and generously portioned. Our server was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially since only two of us ordered meals while the others opted for coffee. He made sure we felt comfortable and helped us navigate the menu. The dishes were more than enough for one person, so there were plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. Overall, I highly recommend this place for both the delicious food and the excellent service!

The atmosphere is great, especially outside, with DJ and lake view. Like their service, staff are very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, serve quickly and provide all the single smth we order. Food was tasty, especially if you're hungry 😂 We ordered a lot, and only don't really like salmon, everything else was great.

We had a fantastic experience dining at Bar Sol. Fernando V was our server and I cannot sing enough praises for the excellent service we enjoyed. Fernando was welcoming and personable and so attentive. Even though we were seated near the restaurant's closing time, you wouldn't know it by his demeanor. He was so kind the whole time and we were able to enjoy our dinner and the ambiance that is Bar Sol. Our drinks were delicious and the fajitas were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Definitely a highlight of our night. Thank you Fernando for creating a dinner experience that was more than just food, but gave us an evening worth remembering.
