“A lovely little neighborhood spot for arepas. We shared the Dulce Pelua and Apurena arepas, and both were tasty - the Dulce Pelua was our favorite, especially with the sweet plantains adding a nice contrast to the savory filling. We also liked that each arepa was cut into two pieces which made it easy for sharing.”

“Excellent family-run restaurant with incredible arepas! We got the Apureña and Pabellon arepas with a side of Chicharron-- absolutely divine! Crispy, juicy fried pork belly with lime to cut the fat of the chicharron. Both arepas were great, but the Apureña won my heart with that creamy, garlicy sauce and crispy cheese. The arepas themselves were crisp on the outside, fluffy and tender on the inside with enough structure to hold all the fillings and their juices. Speaking of which, we realized we probably only needed one set of arepas between the two of us, as the sandwiches are filled to the brim with fresh ingredients! The interior is small but there's plenty of space in the shaded, outdoor seating. The service was very friendly and every dish was made with love. I highly recommend this place for lunch!”

The pictures they have online don’t lie! Will probably be back for the arepas, they give you two for the price you pay for one in most places in the Chicago area. What a treat!”
“I cannot believe I haven't left a review for this place yet. My partner and I come here at least once a month because the food is just that consistent and that good. We've tried a lot of things on the menu, but our go to is the arepa pabellón, which is just everything you want it to be--plantains, beans, avocado, cheese, and of course the pabellón. Also, considering how much other places charge for arepas, this place is a steal and gives you plenty of food for your order.”

“We tried Arepas Pabellon, tequeños, and cheese empanadas. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The plantain on the arepas added a unique sweetness to a well composed sandwich. Even had some perfectly ripe avocado on top. We can't wait to come back and try some more dishes and desserts 😋”
