“Always good! Love their jja jang myun, Mongolian beef and jjang pong. Sometimes they get super busy you might have to wait a minute or two but they are always so so nice. We always get the same waitress and she will joke around with us and make sure we are taken care of.”

“I enjoy coming here ! The atmosphere is very calm and nice, the food is always delicious and super filling. The owners are very friendly and make sure they answer any questions you might have about the food on the menu! Love their pot stickers, very delicious. Would highly recommend them and many other tasty things off the menu! Thank you!”

“Although it’s labeled as a Chinese restaurant offering Mandarin, Szechuan, and Cantonese cuisine, we specifically came for Korean-Chinese dishes like Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong — and it absolutely delivered. First of all, the noodles are homemade, and you can really taste the difference. The texture was fresh and perfectly cooked. The portions are very generous. I ordered the Jajangmyeon and also tried the Jjamppong. The Jjamppong broth had great depth — rich, spicy, and full-bodied. It had a generous variety of seafood with large pieces, and it wasn’t watery or greasy. There wasn’t oil floating on top, just a well-balanced, flavorful soup. The Jajangmyeon was excellent as well. The sauce was balanced and not overpowering. If I had to suggest one small improvement, it could have had slightly more pork, as the vegetables and onions were a bit more prominent. Still, in terms of flavor, it’s a solid 5 out of 5. Another highlight was the complimentary tea service. Along with the meal, they bring a teapot (around a liter) of hot tea for the table, which is a very nice touch. They also include two fortune cookies and two large oat-style cookies as a courtesy — small details that elevate the experience. The water glasses were clean, and the water was fresh with ice — which we definitely appreciated. The service was wonderful. I asked for an apron (since I tend to spill noodles), and they kindly brought one right away. We also ordered sesame balls to go, and the staff member who helped us was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, making it easy to have a relaxed conversation. It’s located on a corner with booths that have street views, and the overall ambiance feels peaceful and pleasant. Definitely a place I would return to. 💖”

“Good selections of Korean style chinese dishes. Full flavors and fresh ingredients. Excellent JJAJANGMYEON (black bean noodles seen in K-dramas). Bit old interior. Prom attentive professional services!. Rare gem in the city. Love to go back!!!!”

“We have been coming here since their original location on Lincoln Avenue. This place has the absolute best Mongolian beef in Chicago. You don't need to go all the way to Chinatown for great Chinese food. This is the spot.”

“Went for after-dinner snack on a weekend. It was busy but not crowded. I ordered the eggroll and potstickers. The eggroll has good size and texture, ok flavor, isn't greasy. The potstickers are old-school Chinese restaurant, with thick, chewy wrapping and flavorful stuffing. The dipping sauce was also ok. Paid with a card. I'll return to try other things.”

“For lunch I visited House of Wah Sun. What attracted me most was their lunch deal (which for the price is an incredible value). As part of the deal I ordered the Mongolian Beef with Egg Drop Soup and an Egg Roll. All of which was fairly good and left me plenty full. In an addition to that the services was very quick and attentive!”

“Food was fresh and good. Decent pric and good portion sizes. Service was fast. Server was attentive. Restaurant was clean. Recommended!”
