“We ordered the chicken breast-wing and waffles, grit, spicy BBQ wings and fry...a kids meal mac and chicken. The chicken on all plates was delicious!! My waffles were soft, buttery and delicious. My grits were nice. Wings flavor was A1! The fries are real peeled fries. Well they tasted like it anyways. My gigi loved them tho! She was not fond of the mac N Cheese at all. Neither was I. Ask for a taste before you order some. Service was awesome. The waiter was very attentive, flawless and got right to us! The person bringing the food she was awesome too! The host was very nice. This black owned is owning it!! Never give up! Keep thriving!! The Atmosphere was a vibe. You have a church group laughing, a loving couple loving each other, a group of friends catching up and us (passing through before we get back to Freeland Michigan) I will definitely be getting out more this summer and bring my ladies here! I really hope I only have to edit this review for the better. The time here was awesome. Thanks everyone!!”

“I am from Chicago but now live on the East Coast. I came home with my youngest son to visit and spend time with family during Thanksgiving week. When we landed at Midway the first thing that we wanted to do was eat. Well, it was a Monday morning an apparently I didn't get the memo that damn near ALL the restaurants on the South Side that served breakfast was closed on Mondays. Alas, Chicago's Chicken & Waffles were open. Now I've been here about 5x in the past but my son hadn't and we decided to go for food. The atmosphere, food, and vibe was exactly what we needed! He had the Monique's special and I had the Shrimp and Grits with CHICKEN andoullie sausage. The chicken was VERY important to me because I haven't eaten pork since 1992. Both of our meals were phenomenal and we were very pleased. Though the food was stellar, what made me want to come here to write a 5-star review was the greatest service from our waitress. Tesha was a consummate professional and a joy to be waited upon by. She's very personable and has wonderful light for energy. When talking, I came to learn that she's worked here for 13 yrs...wow! With that type of longevity, you don't get there by been unpleasant. The food drew me in but the service from Tesha took it over the top!”
