Had the jerk chicken meal i did not like the jerk chicken its like they bake it and not on the grill my chicken did not have that smoke grill taste the sides was good especially the cabbage 🥬 i may try again if im in the area.

I recently move back home to Chicago from Madison Wisconsin and searching for real authentic Jamaican food, and finally it! The establishment is extremely clean, stylist, and bringing a grown and sexy vibe. The staff was courteous and respectful from the time I entered until I left. I placed an order for take out (Jerk Chicken, Planters, Mac n Cheese) with came out nice and hot. I was given extra sauce and eating utensils (Huge Plus). The food was so juicy and flavorful with every bite. I love this place! I love that the food can stay so juicy and flavorful, if warmed up for leftovers. Thank you for your service!

Definitely worthy of a visit. The family and I spent my 39 birthday here 9/10. Food came out fresh, tasty, presentation on point. We glad we now in walking distance of an Caribbean food restaurant.

All I can say is - THANK YOU! We ordered for pickup and it was our first visit to Shattaz for anything. I had a craving and it was a stressful day. All I wanted was comfort food brought home to me. THIS was that comfort food. Absolute sweetest person on the phone to take the order, so I'd love to dine in sometime. When people are nice on the phone, it tells you something about a place overall. Flavors were all amazing! The pastry flake and flavor on the beef patties, along with the filling, is second to none. Beef patties are one of my favorite snacks ever. We will be back for more. Gonna need to try that goat curry next.

I'm visiting from out of town and decided to try out this place, and I’m so glad I did. Many places lean toward fusion, which has its place, but when I’m craving true island comfort I want the classics done right. This kitchen delivers! The food was genuinely authentic, boldly seasoned, and incredibly satisfying, with portions that felt generous without being over the top. Service was warm, attentive, and intuitive. They were wonderfully accommodating of my toddlers, offering age-appropriate modifications without hesitation. I left full, happy, and grateful to have found a little taste of home. This is officially my go-to spot whenever I’m in town. Highly recommend!

First time here and I must say, it’s been a while since I’ve had wings this good! It was made just right and full of flavor. I don’t normally eat all my food but I couldn’t help myself lol Definitely will be back. Worth the 5 stars!

Great vibes & amazing food! BYOB was allowed since they don’t serve liquor yet so that was a plus for me. Our waitress was also super sweet. So happy they opened a jerk chicken spot in the neighborhood! Will be back for sure!

Very very great food! Great staff. Went there the week before they opened up seating. Goat curry was amazing!!!! Jerk chicken was great (however, I did wish it came with a side of jerk sauce). The Mac and cheese was also amazing as well. Highly recommend. Might be possible to ask for a side of the jerk sauce since it doesn’t seem to come with the chicken by default.

Shattaz Jerk Bar&Grill food taste very similar to eating a home cooked meal. Very tasty as if it’s made with love.The dining experience is upscale and welcoming . The staff is professional. The presentation of the food is excellent. I enjoy eating at home instead of eating out, however now that Shattaz has met at home standards they can take all my money. Food is exceptional and you only get this food at Shattaz .They keep me coming back. I enjoy food there, my friends, and family do too. The decor features a very beautiful and welcoming tropical atmosphere . They represented the culture of Jamaica very well with their great food, music and atmosphere. Also the staff there are mainly Jamaicans who you can learn the language from as well.. Check out their vip lounge and enjoy good drinks at the bar. Don’t miss the experience of their special events like Sunday brunch and RNB nights . Writing this review just made me hungry, I’ll stop by tomorrow .20 out of a 10 rating for me . Just try it for yourself. I guarantee you will buy yourself a second plate just for you before the first is finish Thank me later.

We live near and so excited a jerk chicken restaurant was close… Pros: nice, clean, good food, good prices. Con: smell of fabuloso too much, it’s not a bar and grill without a bar. We had to go get drinks next door. The chicken wings are not whole. just a person preference. And they were dried out in a little cold. Not very fresh They need to hire a couple influencers to come review the food. Loved the chicken Alfredo and didn’t think I would, but it was amazing. The cabbage was also bomb, especially with the fresh peppers. Everything was seasoned so well. It was confusing walking in there’s no sign that says yourself or wait to be seated. Also waited 15 minutes for silverware to come after I got my food.. That should be handed out with the menu when people sit down. Overall, we liked it and we will return. Excited to see their progress. Bob Marley deserves his own wall.. But that picture of the basketball player should go somewhere else😂
