Heard from a family I must try this spot!!!! Took my Titi with me to try Pr and Cuban food. This spot is better than Ponce! Better than Jibaritos Y mas!! It felt like someone cooked at home with love!! I highly recommend the Congri and Jibarito!!! Yuka con mojo is to die for!!! Tried a lot today, worth it. Mi Gente I found my new go to spot!! Try it for yourself!! Large portions, they aren’t expensive, worth the price! Dale!!!

I am still sitting in here. I’m so full I might never leave. But the food was SO GOOD!! I tried the tripleta, the foxito, the rice pudding, coconut flan, and I forget what it’s called but funnel cake chips with guava sauce. Everything was AMAZING. And Alberto took such good care of us, he was so friendly and kind and told us about all the other amazing things he makes and the catering options. I’m for sure coming back

“I’ve always driven by but never stopped.”

I’ve always driven by but never stopped. This is the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had in Chicago and every one was so sweet and nice. I got it to go and ate it in the park across the street. I’ll be back in a few days, I’m sure. I’m eating this same sandwich left over from yesterday and it’s JUST AS GOOD. came to review it and realized I already had. So so good.

I keep it 100... came across this gem by pure luck! Was craving a cuban sandwich and had one of the best here. We also ordered the steak sandwich... amazing! Bravo to the chef you can taste the passion and love in the food. Ordered desserts and the one I didn't order (flan de coco) ended up being my favorite. Great food amazing service and the atmosphere was so good. Definitely worth the drive will be coming back :)

Oh wow! This food was so good! I got the steak sandwich and was very satisfied, the steak was cooked perfectly and wasn’t too chewy. The flavors were great too. The prices for the food are very reasonable. My only complaint is that I didn’t order more! 😋

When I tell you that you won’t regret stepping into this amazing restaurant, you won’t! Believe me! The food is amazing ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥! Everything was made fresh and with a true authentic passion for cooking. I had the steak sandwich and believe me when I tell you, you will feel it all over your soul 🤩. The coco Flan was bomb!!!! She had mentioned how she makes these herself fresh and worked hard to perfect its flavors, believe me you won’t regret trying them. The Guava Sauce with the powered sugar fried flour chips toasty sweet amazing Warm dessert it’s OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! She specifically told us to close our eyes when trying it and it’s magic!!! She’s a true Chef! And her dishes will make you feel the passion she has for her business and dishes and customers! Great atmosphere clean and friendly. Definitely returning! I ordered take out overall my favorite steak sandwich I've had in Chicago so far, use to be marrianos on Armtige and anyone who's grown up here knows that's a great spot but this one just topped it off, the yuca was great not traditional to what I've had but great quality and tasty the congri rice was the best congri rice I've ever ate delicious I could wat a plate of that alone. The only thing I change is a tad bit less vinegar in the steak it was great for the sandwich but with the plate it was over powering. I'm more then positive she makes her own mayo because I've never had such a tasty mayo was really savory loved it, the service was great I called has questions they weren't at all frustrated with me or in a hurry. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Anytime I go to a Cuban restaurant 9 times out of 10 more than likely I will go for a Cuban sammich which was oh so delightful. You can't have a Cuban sammich without an iced Cafe con leche drink which was decent it just needed to be more colder. It tasted like if it was at room temperature in spite of having ice, would I go back yes of course I would go back.

After reading a lot of good reviews about this restaurant, I’ve decided to stop by for a lunch there today. The Cuban was delicious, super hot, fresh ingredients and so flavorful! Definitely will be coming back when in the area.
