Nettare — among the best brunch & breakfast in West Town. There's imagination in the cooking here. Knowledgeable staff, so ask for guidance. Pete West: "Their pastry selection was phenomenal, and all of the other bites we had were so delicious"

“They also have a café option with to-go coffee, which is fantastic—definitely try it if you’re in the area”
My wife and I were immediately greeted with a rude and dismissive attitude by the host upon arrival.

Nettare is great - I’ve only visited for brunch or to pick up a latte, but the prices are very reasonable and the brunch dishes were light and perfect for ordering a few plates to share with friends. Their fresh pastries (available at the front of the house or to order at your table) are especially delicious, both sweet and savory. Some of my favorite pastries in the neighborhood, and they’ve filled the gap Aya left. The front café area is a standout as well. The cafe is open till closing, making it a great place to linger, and the interior and overall atmosphere are incredibly unique and aesthetic. Definitely worth a visit!

Haven’t actually had the food here yet but do plan on it soon. The food looks delicious. My friends and I always come in for drinks while we wait for Lao Peng You. I highly recommend this place for drinks! The bartenders are amazing and make such great cocktails. I also love that they have a THC drink that does the job and doesn’t taste bad at all.

This restaurant was an absolute delight to dine in—excellent food, atmosphere, and service. The décor is elegant yet lively, with thoughtful details throughout the interior and music kept soft enough to create an intimate ambiance without requiring you to raise your voice. Our server, John (I believe that was his name), had impeccable manners: attentive when we needed something but never interrupting our conversation. The food and drinks were beautifully executed and full of flavor.

Midwest and seasonal menu served in a very elegant and romantic atmosphere, mushroom pate was an absolute hit as well as trout! Wine menu has a lot of options from Michigan wineries and cocktail menu is very impressive (shout out to cranberry spritz light, fruity and a touch of sour). The service is great and lots of attention, perfect spot for a dinner date!

“Beautiful and delicious escape.”
Beautiful and delicious escape. This place is the home of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in Chicago and their scones are also not to be missed. I’m so grateful that we have such a gem in the neighborhood.

Love this place. Have been for brunch and dinner. The cocktails are fun and interesting with most of the spirits from local regional producers. Food is always great. And the space is honestly my favorite part. They have a great bar setup, skylights, and decor choices.

“A true gem of a restaurant that has charm and feels personable in a comfortable but elegant environment.”
A true gem of a restaurant that has charm and feels personable in a comfortable but elegant environment. The menu provides unique options regularly changing based on local availability. Dishes are familiar but creative with an elevated twist, well plated and incorporates quality ingredients. Service was incredible and friendly, offering recommendations and detailed descriptions for the drinks and food - even got lucky with an off menu special from the chef. You won't feel skimped on the vegetarian options.

“Nettare offers an exceptional experience from start to finish.”
Nettare offers an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service is attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. The food is thoughtfully crafted and delicious, with beautiful presentation that shows real care. The ambience strikes the perfect balance—cool and inviting, ideal for a date night. What truly sets Nettare apart is its unique concept: all spirits and produce are sourced exclusively from the Midwest, which adds a fresh, local touch to every dish and drink. They also have a café option with to-go coffee, which is fantastic—definitely try it if you’re in the area. I especially enjoyed the brunch; it was flavorful and satisfying. Highly recommend Nettare for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with a local twist!

“Came for brunch and enjoyed everything.”
Came for brunch and enjoyed everything. Our group ordered the ham and cheese sandwich, smoked trout, smoked trout toast, eggs benedict, breakfast sandwich, and baby gem salad with skirt steak. We also had coffee cake, chocolate chip cookie, and breakfast potatoes to share. For drinks, we got the nitro matcha, iced orange caramel latte, and sobacha. The space is beautiful, with skylights, painted brick walls, and lots of plant.

I’ve come in for their tasting menu before and thought it was a great value! Finally made it back in to try out some cafe items around breakfast time. The staff were friendly and patient while making recommendations on tea. Really pretty dining room and cozy cafe area with some barstools

“Had a lovely time here.”
Had a lovely time here. We did the chef’s menu with the drink pairings. One new drink essentially came with each entree and dessert. It took a little bit to get the server over to our table, but everything was pretty outstanding. We ended up spending about $140/pp with everything included. A note: I don’t personally care, but they automatically include 20% gratuity to every check regardless of your party size. They do explain this and are not trying to hide it, but worth noting!

“I stopped by with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's entrance.”
I stopped by with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's entrance. There was a nice little waiting area with a selection of alcohol. From there, we were ushered to our table and walked into a small, intimate dining room. Even for brunch, the ambiance was just right. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and added skirt steak, and it was delicious. The egg was perfectly cooked, so when I cut into it, the yolk flowed out. Yum! The steak was tender as well. The bacon was standard, but the potatoes were the star in my opinion. They cooked them with just the right amount of crispiness and seasoning. Everyone at the table loved the potatoes—definitely a must-try. Overall, it was a great brunch experience, and I would love to come back for a date night.
