“Great food! Great waitress! The menu is packed with choices and many options that sound amazing. I got the mini waffle flight and sausage links. Definitely worth the visit!!”

“Amazing service, people, local, family-owned. Kids loved it. So glad we chose this stop during our family vacation. Keep up the good work!”

“Exactly what you want out of a diner. Good prices. Great portions. Everything was cooked perfectly. Coffee was ideal. Marlene was a fantastic, attentive server! Will be back. The menu is big.”

“Delicious food, excellent service, noisy outside (not Brother’s fault) but inside looked crowded and not as bright on this beautiful day. Chicken and chorizo skillet was our favorite; thanks to the waitress who recommended we order the skillet version (instead of omelette version). The hash browns at the bottom had a nice crisp, and the dish itself had nice flavor - especially with the red hot sauce. The steak fajita omelette was also good but humongous, so I didn’t even come close to finishing it (especially since I added a side of bacon). Heads up: the cappuccino came with a sweet foam on top. Husband’s coffee was constantly refilled. Service was friendly and attentive even though we were the only ones eating outside. We were only visiting Chicago but would return to this restaurant. It feels like a local place (ChatGPT helped us find this gem, but I wrote this review myself :)”

“Great spot!! Its so cute inside, the food is delicious and awesome breakfast and lunch specials. Service was awesome and friendly too!”

“The ambiance, food, and service make this place a well deserved 5 stars review! Everything was great food very tasty, clean restaurant and the employees were super friendly. I will be back!”

“Food & Service was FIRE!🔥🔥🔥 My brother and I came in for a quick breakfast before heading out on a brief road trip and came to this breakfast establishment after long being on my “to try” list and let me tell you how angry I was with myself for not coming out here earlier. We were treated warmly as soon as we entered, a cozy environment, warm and inviting with a wonderful smell permeating through the restaurant - already happy with our decision so far, we had good vibes about this spot. We were served quickly, with our server introducing herself and presenting us with menus, waters, coffee, etc. we went over food items and were more than pleasantly surprised to note we hail from the same part of Mexico, Santiago Papasquiaro Durango. More excellent vibes! My brother and I enjoyed an excellent(!) breakfast this morning! He had the seasonal Christmas Chilaquiles with Steak(Arrachera) which are authentic chilaquiles prepared with both red and green salsa and scrambled eggs and it was fire!!! Not overly spicy at all, delectable and savory and the steak? Cooked perfectly. I had an off-menu item called a Huarache, which is like a large stretched out thick tortilla with beans/frijoles, cream, avocado, steak(arrachera), and other ingredients atop built in delicate layers. I was worried that the huarache or tortilla base was pre-made or overly think which can happen but not my preference but I had nothing to fear as the huarache was perfectly made a la carte, well seasoned and the perfect amount of thickness (not thick at all) nor salty. The plate, a non-menu item, was excellent and exquisite and I highly recommend it if available. I asked chef Nestor, the inventor and author of this dish, to strongly consider adding it to the menu. My words won’t do it justice so I implore you to review my (poorly staged and taken) photo of said meal. 11/10! Honestly? I was coming in and hoping to enjoy a pleasant breakfast and cross it off my list but instead I’ve found an excellent, family-owned restaurant that serves excellent service, warm environment, and most excellent dishes from a restaurant that has now been added to my small roster of “Good/Favorite Eats” in Chicago. My only disappointment is in not finding this place sooner but it’s a disappointment I aim to quickly erase by way of coming back again and again. Try the Brothers Restaurant if you enjoy excellent tried and true Breakfast Americana with strong coffee but also enjoy a flair for truly authentic Mexican breakfast items. For me, as a lover of both, this is my unicorn - I’ve found my spot. Cheers!”

“Wow! This place is an incredible family diner, as warm and inviting as the people who live in this community. Nestor is a genius to come up with the idea of a poblano relleno omelet! I was blown away with how delicious it was - absolutely out of this world! In addition to the he friendly atmosphere tops it all off. I enjoyed speaking with Nestor and hearing him gush about the vintage menu sign he's adding to the quaint decor that enhances the classic cozy diner vibes.”

“Lovely family owned business. Servers were very attentive and great to make conversation with if you’re interested. Food was great, portions were filling, $50 (w/ tip) for two adults and a teen. Overall great experience, reminded me of what I thought iHop was when I was younger!”

“Visiting from out of town and found Brothers via google maps. Non-assuming from the curb, but they have a great breakfast with wonderful service. Cost-friendly, generous portions, and a contemporary diner vibe. We are 100% coming back next time we’re around”
