This café instantly became one of my favorites in Chicago. I tried their chocolate almond croissant, and it was absolutely incredible — flaky, buttery, filled just right, and bursting with flavor. Pairing it with coffee made for a perfect morning. The outdoor seating is a big bonus, giving you a chance to enjoy the neighborhood vibe while savoring something fresh from the bakery. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and pastries that you won’t forget. Highly recommended!

Really friendly staff, and a really chill place to work or have coffee with a friend. I tried their Iced Peach Matcha Latte which was amazing. It’s a sweetened matcha base with milk topped with peach cold foam which was one of the best matcha drinks I’ve had. In the future I’d just ask for it to be a little less sweet but definitely something I’ll be craving again!

1st time here and falling in love with this place. Food is top notch. We got croque madame and avocado toast. The bread of croque madame is thick and super soft, good combination between cheese and ham and topped with egg. It’s delicious and filling. Another dish that I even like it more is avocado toast! It’s very flavorful. I enjoy it so much. We also ordered Latte and Mocha. They both are good but it should slightly stronger in coffee (in my opinion) The place is cute with around 8 inside tables. It’s good for mingling and dining. I’m definitely going back again.

Bakehouse is a great addition to the neighborhood! Their honey lattes are my favorite, always creamy and smooth with a little art on top :) Chocolate croissants are also a reliable choice!

My husband and I ordered a small heart shaped wedding cake from The Bakehouse. So many bakeries charge a ridiculous amount for wedding cakes but The Bakehouse was super affordable! The cake was exactly as I pictured, but not only was it beautiful, it also tasted great! It was super easy to place an order on their website and share inspiration photos as well. :)

This place is just amazing, I can’t ask for more, the coffee here is outstanding, they work with Dark Matter Coffee which is the best in my opinion, you have to try their Homemade Croissant and the Banana pudding OMG!! But to be honest every single thing here is magnificent. The service was great, these people know what they’re doing!!

“Fell into this little gem on one of my city adventures.”

Fell into this little gem on one of my city adventures. I was craving some midday coffee & a little treat. This place did not disappoint. They serve Dark Matters coffee (which can be strong) but this house blend was bold without being harsh and gave me the boost I needed. My treat of choice was the peanut butter cookie. Very large and thick but not dry at all. What a delight. I had my food for here but enjoyed the patio out front. It was nice to get my coffee in a real mug. I was happy with my choice this warm, sunny day and Jerry enjoyed the left over crumbs on the patio. Had the most delicious breakfast but what really blew me away was the tres leches cake. I ended up buying another one on my way out and now I can’t stop thinking about it. They also serve milohas sometimes which I haven’t seen in many bakeries in Chicago.
