“Everything was so great, not so sweet.”
Everything was so great, not so sweet. We ordered Ham and cheese croissant, Banana bread, Chololate croissant, Coffee bread, Pistachio bread is not my favor, but anyone love sweet will be a good choice. The owner gave us garlic bread for try-on, one of the best garlic bread I ever had.

This bakery is underrated and has tons of creative options with a rotating menu. My personal favorite is the black garlic potato ricotta croissant, which I definitely recommend heating up at home. The buckwheat black sesame kouign amann also has a sweet, nutty taste. Easy to get here on the 77 bus.

“I got the baked apple fritter, my wife got the potato + leek + tomato croissant, and we both got a chai latte.”
I got the baked apple fritter, my wife got the potato + leek + tomato croissant, and we both got a chai latte. The apple fritter was incredible, although I’m not sure I’d call it an apple fritter. It was more like a cinnamon roll but with apple instead of raisins. Still delicious though! The chai latte was also delicious; it actually tasted like chai instead of just sugar like most places.

“Went to Sweet Rabbit Bakery early in the morning and it hit the spot.”
Went to Sweet Rabbit Bakery early in the morning and it hit the spot. Place smelled like fresh pastries the second I walked in. No line, quiet, felt real cozy. Tried the monkey bread instead of my usual pastry and honestly, it was the best choice. Golden outside, soft inside, sticky caramel glaze all over it. Just sweet enough without being too much. Had it with a hot coffee and yeah… dipping the bread in there was next level. Got my order quickly and the staff was friendly, even gave me some ideas for what to try next time. Easy place to like, and I’d go back just to work through the case.

“Sweet Rabbit truly feels like one of the most underrated bakeries in the area.”
Sweet Rabbit truly feels like one of the most underrated bakeries in the area. I don’t know how this place hasn’t gotten more popular! Their pastries and bread always are absolutely amazing. I plan my weeks around getting baked bread here (especially the miso bread). And their pastries are out of this world! I especially love the Hunny Bunny (truly melts in your mouth) and the Morning Cardio croissant (my go-to, the filling is so yummy). Lastly, their sandwiches are perfect to take to-go, especially to grab on the way to the lake. You truly can’t go wrong with any of their baked goods!

“A friend gave me a loaf of bread from here (so I can't comment on the space itself), but the bread was outstanding!”

“I stopped by Sweet Rabbit for a quick afternoon snack a few days ago and while the pastries are...”
I stopped by Sweet Rabbit for a quick afternoon snack a few days ago and while the pastries are awesome I think the customer experience can be improved. There is ample seating that actually looks cozy, but the restaurant is a little awkward to navigate. There's no clear spot to stand in line or wait for drinks and the staff isn't around or friendly enough to help. I came in around Noon and there was no one nearby the till, which did give me time to peruse the case, but I didn't see any menu nearby or prices so I just sort of picked what looked good. Drinks are listed small and far away from where the register is so it's kind of hard to piece together your order. When someone did come out from the back to take my order, they said probably less than 2 words to me, but did quickly grab my pastries and hand me a drink. A little more friendliness could go a long way here in retaining repeat customers. All the minor complaints aside, I am SO happy to have a local bakery and coffee shop in the area and they fill a much needed void for us south of the main Roscoe Village strip. The pastries are to die for and I can't wait to try more!

“Their bakery goods are better than their drinks.”
Their bakery goods are better than their drinks. What stole the show for me was actually their milk bread they sell. I don't currently have a picture, but it was phenomenal. Besides that the honey bun was an absolute delight knowing the frosting was honey flavor based. For a shop that's been around roughly a year, they're doing a great job!

“The miso rye is perhaps the finest loaf of bread I’ve ever had in my life.”
The miso rye is perhaps the finest loaf of bread I’ve ever had in my life. We try to get it at least weekly and sometimes I can’t wait so we get a second loaf. I would say they excel in savory, but all the sweet treats are delicious as well! This is my favorite bakery in the city of Chicago.
