Fantastic eclectic tavern style pizzas, along with Italian beef, burgers, gyros, etc. Order pizza by the slice with a drink, which was something we saw a lot of when we visited during a quiet Monday lunch hour. Walking distance from Lincoln Park Zoo, and a great, family-friendly spot.

This is a fantastic little gem! My wife and I were visiting Chicago when we stumbled upon Angry Octopus while exploring the Lincoln Park neighborhood. We decided to stop in for a bite and ordered burgers and fries—she chose the ground beef, and I went with the turkey burger. Both were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, topped just right, and served in portions that hit the sweet spot for a late lunch or early dinner. The fries were a standout too—crispy boardwalk-style potato slices with just the right touch of salt. Simple, fresh, and very satisfying. What really impressed us, though, was the atmosphere. While we were eating, the owner greeted a regular customer with special needs and showed her genuine kindness and respect. It was heartwarming to see such a welcoming, neighborly spirit in action—something you don’t always find, even in big cities. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re in Chicago, do yourself a favor and check this place out—you won’t be disappointed!

“This place is fantastic.”

This place is fantastic! Great food at great prices. We took our food to go and there were nice places to sit while waiting. The art work is classic and gives a sense of fun all around. My favorite was their onion rings. My husband and I agreed to share a side order and I immediately regretted my decision. I wanted the whole thing to myself… but I still did share. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely eat here again for take out. delicious and worth every penny!

“Been a Chicago local since forever.”

Been a Chicago local since forever. I came in while on the clock because the smell was infatuating. Ordered 2 pepperoni slices and really enjoyed it, has a cozy hole on the wall vibe and the Chicago pride makes me feel at home. Chicago is known for their pizza so it’s really hard to compare but I feel for the price and the quality it’s a pretty decent match. If you’re hungry and in a pinch and you are in the over priced area of Lincoln park this place comes in pretty clutch. Will come again.

Me, my husband and son stopped here for the first time. I found it by searching, and the menu is amazing. It really has something for everyone, especially when you have a picky kid! 😂 The server was well knowledgeable about the foods, she was also very polite and super friendly. We had even come at a busy time and she never stopped smiling and doing an amazing job of making you feel welcomed the Second you come in. 10/10 we absolutely will stop in again when we visit from WI and my son fromDE.
