The best and most memorable night of my life! I have been living in the US for a couple of years and I have been to different persian restaurants but THIS RESTAURANT is at the TOP of my list. Maman Zari puts its creative twist on authentic persian dishes while keeping the food true to its roots. It’s a perfect combination of fine dining and traditional persian food my grandma would make at home. When I was having the cookies, i thought for a moment that I was dining in Tehran. Everything was perfect. 10/10 recommended! We had the tasting menu (Noruz Audition) for 6 people and it just blew us away. The service, food, quality, portion were all beyond amazing. I’ll definitely be back soon.

The food and service was so incredible that I went back 2 times in one week for their restaurant week menu! After my wife and went I took my in-laws so they could also experience the magic of Maman Zari. I was in awe of the caliber of service! I have never been to a restaurant that exchanges your utensils between each course; to eat at a restaurant that does that I would expect there to be a level of snobbery. That was not the case at all! The service staff demonstrated a beautiful balance of warmth and kindness. Our water glasses were never empty, and my pregnant wife drinks A LOT of water.

Absolutely phenomenal! Perfect service (even for one, unexpectedly), lovely ambiance, and the food was just so perfect. I ate here at restaurant week and had the eggplant dip, cucumber salad, sturgeon with saffron brown butter sauce, and pistachio tiramisu. Everything was so nuanced but flavorful. That saffron brown butter sauce was everything! A lovely experience from beginning to end. Can’t wait to try the tasting menu when my sister comes to visit!!

Went here for restaurant week and I was not disappointed! The service was impeccable from coat check and seating thru the end of the meal. The food was so flavorful. My favorite were the lamb lollipops and cucumber salad. Very intimate setting and perfect for a date night or special occasion.

Maman Zari — An Exceptional Dining Experience We celebrated a birthday dinner at Maman Zari with a vegetarian tasting menu during their special Shab-e Yalda offering, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the outset, the level of thoughtfulness set the tone. The team presented a beautifully printed tasting menu card personalized for my birthday—an understated yet meaningful gesture. Even more impressive was a separate menu card created specifically to highlight my wife’s dietary restrictions. It’s a small detail, but one that speaks volumes about the restaurant’s customer-centric approach and operational excellence. Every course was meticulously conceived and executed. The dishes were not only exceptional in flavor but also visually harmonious—each plate thoughtfully composed, with colors and textures working together in a way that was both refined and inviting. The portions were perfectly judged, leaving us satisfied without excess, and each dish delivered a distinct, memorable flavor profile. Beyond the food, the experience felt immersive. The menu offered a beautiful introduction to Persian cuisine, thoughtfully woven with the cultural significance of the winter solstice. Learning about the traditions and stories behind the dishes added depth and context, elevating the meal beyond dining into something more meaningful. The ambiance was elegant and polished, evoking a sense of luxury without feeling pretentious. Service was impeccable: warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic. The staff graciously answered our questions about the dishes and ingredients, enhancing the overall experience with knowledge and passion. Pacing was flawless throughout the evening—neither rushed nor drawn out—and every course arrived at the ideal temperature, underscoring the precision behind the service. Maman Zari delivers what truly defines an elite dining experience: thoughtful hospitality, cultural storytelling, and consistently exceptional execution. It was a memorable celebration and a restaurant that sets a very high standard for tasting-menu dining.

Absolutely exceptional Persian cuisine tasting; the food is not the typical Persian restaurant. It's like going to an Iranian home, with mom-made food, and Iranian hospitality. The staff don't look like restaurant staff. They're all so friendly and interested that it feels like going to a friend's house. Also absolutely no rush. For fellow Iranians: it's is NOT your typical go-to-eat-kebob place. The price is very reasonable for the quality, experience, and the tranquility you get. An excellent place for a memorable time with friends and family. I wish the neighborhood was a bit more exciting. But that would have been not as affordable.

Had an amazing dinner here! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was super attentive from start to finish. The whole staff was warm and friendly, and the vibe of the restaurant is upscale but still really comfortable. The lamb chops were the standout — perfectly cooked and insanely flavorful. It was one of those dishes you keep talking about even after you’ve left. We also loved the saffron rice Tahdig incorporated in the small plate dishes. We happened to go on Wine Wednesday, so we got to enjoy a great bottle at a discounted price, which was a nice bonus! Overall, such a great spot for a date night or a night out with friends. Already excited to come back and try the tasting menu!
