Just down right delicious and fresh Puerto Rican food. Everything here is good and made fresh to order. Best food truck around for Puerto Rican food plus I don't have to drive all the way to Humble Park.

I can't express how much I love this place without screaming out loud! Everything is perfectly prepared and holds up well even for a 15 minute walk home! They treat everyone like their closest neighbors and make you feel almost as warm as the freshly fried tostones or the steaming arroz (that I can never get enough of.) Make your perfect day at the park complete with a picnic by Snix Snacks!

I’m honestly surprised by the number of glowing reviews because my experience was very different. This was my first visit to this food truck, and I can confidently say I’ve had much better Puerto Rican food from other food trucks and restaurants in Chicago. My girlfriend is Puerto Rican and cooks authentic Puerto Rican food regularly, and I’ve also tried several Puerto Rican spots throughout the city, so I have a solid basis for comparison. I ordered the arroz con gandules and a chicken pincho. The rice didn’t taste like traditional arroz con gandules, and the chicken pincho lacked flavor. The skewer itself was fairly small and came with two very small pieces of bread. The only reason the chicken had any flavor was because I requested a side of barbecue sauce, which helped considerably. To their credit, the portion size of the rice was generous for a small order. The total came to $13.19, which I understand is fairly standard these days given rising food costs. However, when comparing value, I recently ate at La Brasa Roja(A popular Colombian restaurant) just a couple of blocks away and paid about the same amount, including tip, while receiving roughly three times the meat plus a side salad and the food and experience was much better. The service was also disappointing. The woman taking orders was on her phone the entire time and barely acknowledged me beyond taking my order and processing payment. I’m not expecting exceptional service from a food truck, but basic customer interaction goes a long way, and service is a big reason customers return. As far as atmosphere, I did like the two benches that they had set up with one having the Chicago flag painted on top and the other having a Puerto Rican flag. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience. It’s possible they were having an off day, but a couple ordered right after me and received the same food, so it didn’t appear to be an isolated issue. If you’re looking for Puerto Rican food in Chicago, there are several other food trucks and restaurants worth trying before this one.

Been coming here for about 10 years now and it's absolutely amazing every single time. The most amazing 10/10 Puerto Rican food.

I’ve been going here for many years! My favorites are the beef pastelillos, relleno de papa, mini jibarito (SO GOOD! They’re small though, so get 2 for one person), and Puerto Rican rice!!! Almost always has 3-4 people in line at all times, please be patient for your food though because most times it’s only the owner + her husband working the food truck but IT’S WORTH THE WAIT!

Best Puerto Rican food hands down! I've been to Puerto Rico and her food is better than the food I had there! I pretty much ordered 2 of everything. I will be going back before the season ends on October 31st. FYI she also does catering! I'm getting married in the summer and I will be booking her for out wedding!
