“We came here during lunch hours and got the Chicken Bastilla and Kefta as appetizers and, the Lamb Marrakesh and Salmon as the entrée. The food was delicious and the service was great! The atmosphere was also quiet and peaceful. Would recommend!”

“This was such a great experience! The food was incredible and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The service amazing and attentive. 10/10 experience and highly recommend.”

“What a wonderful restaurant with the most fantastic food prepared with the most delicious seasonings ranging from saffron to fresh veggies! The owner was born and raised in Morocco and took with him all of grandma's recipes. Ask the servers anything about Morocco and you'll get detailed answers because they truly care about their country as well as their customers. There are only 2 Moroccan restaurants in Chicago and this one is the best! After 18yrs st this location the proof is there! Convenient location just off the highway at Irving Park OR take the blue line to Irving Park and walk just 1 block. You won't be disappointed; I guarantee it! The photos are from their catering service and were served family style... great for private parties or family gatherings”

“Everything I tried was very good. Get the mixed grill to taste all meats.”

“Great Moroccan food in a cool atmosphere! The vegetable sampler was a delicious appetizer, and the main dishes with lab and beef options were cooked perfectly. Good BYOB spot”

“I've been here a few times with my bf. The food and staff are great. The only complaint that I have is that it's cash only. There is an atm but it there was something wrong with it.”

“Well done. Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, helpful and caring staff. See you again very soon.”

“Shokran is the kind of restaurant you try once and want to come back again and again. I ordered the lamb shank, and it was absolutely incredible - the meat melted in my mouth, and the flavors were out of this world. It was my first time trying lamb with sweet prunes, almonds, and egg, and it was a delicious meal! I also had a side of rice and some mint tea, both were great. The food and service were amazing.”

“I can't speak to the foods authenticity, but in terms of flavors, 10/10. The chicken bastilla was an interesting mixture of savory (with the chicken filling), and sweet (with the powered sugar and cinnamon topping). The lamb atlas tagine was outstanding. We finished our meal with the mint tea, which was a nice palate cleaner. Overall great time.”

“I couldn't believe this place was almost empty! we walked in after finding out about their Thursday night any tagine special ($14.95) and it sure did not disappoint! I got the chicken which was so flavorful and moist and a great sized portion. BYOB too!! support your local businesses!!”
