“GUU is charming and delicious. Very clean and fast paced service with a neighborly energy. I absolutely loved their sea salt coffee and indulged in a biscoff-and-whipped cream topped croffle.”

“Their matcha was a little too water down for me (they noticed I wasn’t happy, so they kindly accommodated my request with an extra matcha shot their customer service was great) I’d love to come back another time and try their milk tea!”

“Only tried drinks from their Vietnamese Coffee Series so far, but I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve gotten! The inside is also really cute. Might be my favorite neighborhood cafe now. Looking forward to trying more things off their menu.”

“The old Boki’s Tea House has gone through a serious upgrade. The interior looks fantastic—cleaner, more modern, and honestly a lot more inviting than before. Although I have yet to sit down and enjoy em. They’ve also brought in some new staff, which really helps handle the weekend rush. Service feels a bit more organized, and thankfully, the drink menu still sticks to those classic recipes that made the place worth coming to in the first place. Now for the downside—meh. The main reason I stopped coming here back when it was Boki’s was because of how impractical their cups were. Drinks would spill way too easily just from carrying them, which made ordering multiple drinks a hassle. I only started coming back when they finally introduced a proper cup-sealing machine. That one change made a huge difference—you could grab five or six drinks at once without worrying about leaks or spills, especially when driving. But now, for some reason, they’ve gone backwards. The cups feel noticeably flimsier, and they’ve switched to those strawless sip lids that just don’t hold up. They’re easy to squeeze, easy to tilt, and way too easy to spill. Whether you’re driving or just holding it casually, it feels like there’s a solid chance your drink ends up on your lap instead of in your mouth. It’s frustrating because everything else has improved—but this one change makes the overall experience less convenient and honestly a bit stressful.”

“여기 직원분들이 너무 친절하시고 음료도 정말 맛있어요 한국어도 좀 하실 줄 아시고 케이팝도 많이 틀어주십니다. 근데 무엇보다 버블티가 개맛있어요 타로밀크티랑 블랙밀크티 추천해드립니다 꼭 오세오”

“when i say im obsessedddd with boki’s ceremonial matcha!!! i’ve tried countless matchas at different cafes in chicago, and the fact my local cafe makes such an umami rich matcha latte is insane!! the color is vibrant green and the flavor really reflects how good the quality is; you can also customize what milk and fruit you want- i usually opt for the strawberry jam in mine with an extra gram of powder!! it’s so good, im obsessed ꒰ ⸝⸝ ◞ ˬ ◟ ꒱ honestly i’d wanna gatekeep it because their drinks are just so good but everyone deserves to have a sip of it ꒰ ⑅ ´ ˘ ` ꒱✧ love love love it🩷”

“I loved their Matcha latte with strawberry jam 🍓 thank you!”

“Usually order a lychee green tea with jelly, but this new matcha is a new favorite! Boki’s is an Albany Park gem and I love to visit with my teammates after dance practices.”
